After growing up, kids usually don't express their love and care for their parents in the same manner they did when they were little. So, when this dad got an unusual and adorable text from his teenage son, he couldn't hold his tears back. Reddit user u/TehFuriousOne captioned the post, "Got this text from my kid (16) last night while making dinner. I'm a lucky guy."

The text he received from his son read, "Hi dad, I am watching a 'Criminal Minds' episode where some kid loses his dad and it made me very sad so I want to remind you that I love you and appreciate you very much." This message is proof that the child has been raised well and does not shy away from expressing his feelings. In one of the comments, the dad also mentioned how he felt as soon as he read the text. "I got choked up. Unfortunately, this was mom's weekend, so texts will have to suffice for hugs until Tuesday," he wrote.

People in the comments section were delighted to see this beautiful father-son relationship. u/MillionPossibilities5 commented, “This made me cry. And smile. I'd do anything to be able to send my dad one more text (he died). This is really good to see. Thank you.” u/WrkrsRvltn wrote, “Good, texts like these are earned through effort. Thanks for doing your best.” One person, u/Either-Yoghurt-1706, commented, “That’s really cute. Can you be my dad too?” To which, the father adorably responded, “You got it! Make sure you're getting enough water during the day. Be kind to yourself and others. It's okay if you're not where you want to be yet. I'm proud of you.”

u/primary-move243 said, “You are clearly crushing the parent thing. So happy for you! And for your kid for having such a great dad! The world needs more people like you!” u/sensitive_edge_2964 shared, “I love seeing Dad that are actually emotionally open to their kids. My own was always cut off. My uncles felt closer to father figures than my actual father.”

Children often find a way to win the hearts of everyone around them with their care, love and innocence. An 8-year-old did exactly that with a simple yet wholesome to-do list. The child’s aunt posted the list on Reddit and everybody was in awe of the child's priority in life. u/Bethesloth captioned the post, "My 8-year-old nephew made a to-do list after watching my mother make one and it's brilliant." The list included, “Be weird, play with dad, pet Cash, feed Cash, let Cash out, read, play loud librarians, order games, be helpful to Daddy, be content, learn, go to Goodwill."

People on Reddit loved the list and even got inspired to create a similar one. u/peacefulpanda111 commented, "Be weird and be content are brilliant things to be on a to-do list." u/SameheadMcKenzie wrote, "This kid loves their dad, cares about their pet, has a thirst for knowledge and knows how to have a good time. I get the feeling that they will go far in life with such a good attitude." u/verucka-salt shared, "I love your nephew and his list. I’m a big list maker, but I never thought to add kind thoughts. He’s a gem!"
