Students prank their favorite teacher before surprising her with heartwarming gesture

Teachers play a pivotal role in molding future generations. They directly influence their intellectual, emotional and social development. But sometimes, teachers also go to great lengths beyond academia to create an environment for learning and growth. TikTok user Salome (@metrevelisalii) recently shared a video where she and her classmates gave their teachers a surprise hidden within a prank. The video has gone viral with over 304.2 million views on the social media site.

In the video, we get to see the teacher walking into the classroom and observe some commotion in the back. Seeing that her kids are in a fight, she drops her bags and rushes over to stop them. Her face is a mix of worry as she rushes over. The camera turns to reveal all the boys in the classroom huddled together and beating up somebody.

As she gets near, the boys stop fighting, a confetti canon goes off and all the students begin gifting her. She is evidently shocked and looks around in a dazed manner, not being able to comprehend what is going on. Students can be seen laughing and throwing more confetti at their favorite teacher. The woman is overwhelmed by the gesture and leans her back against the wall.

But the students are not done there as many of them individually go to give her hugs. People on the platform appreciated the student's thoughtful gesture and expressed their thoughts in the comments. @samaatje said, "Some teachers have a very big impact on their students. We will always remember them." @noriu_miego999 shared, "We did almost the same thing, but we made the other teacher yell at us so that it would look like we didn't listen to the teacher."

Teachers really make an amazing impact on their student's lives. Micheal Lacey turns out to be someone who agrees with this. He had a difficult life and had to spend 21 years of it in prison. Fortunately, he fought on, thanks to the time he spent with his GED teacher, Ms. Rice. He decided to surprise his teacher and shared the heartwarming reunion on TikTok.

He explained that he ran into his teacher's roommate at a photography event and they planned to surprise her. Lacey walks towards his house, saying, "I just got to my favorite teacher's house when I was doing my 21 years of prison, she is the bomb. She doesn't know I'm coming. Let's go surprise her." She instantly recognizes him and says, "Mr. Lacey? Oh my God!" giving him a warm hug before inviting him in.

The text overlay on the video reads, "Seen her help more than 300 inmates get their GED. She never judged any of us. She was a shining light in that dark place."
