He makes presentations above the TV to prevent his mom from asking questions during movies.
We all have that one friend or family member who just has to ask a million questions while watching movies. While it can be endearing, it also makes it tricky to stay focused on what’s happening on screen. One clever son decided to solve this in the most creative way possible—and his solution has the internet laughing. Anticipating his mom’s inevitable movie questions, he created a detailed PowerPoint presentation to answer them before she could even ask. He then projected it above the TV screen for a seamless, interruption-free experience.
The hilarious moment was shared by his brother, Andreas Polychronis, who goes by @andreaspoly on TikTok. In the now-viral video, Andreas revealed: "My brother started making a PowerPoint presentation with every movie we watch because he got tired of my mom asking so many questions." During a family movie night featuring Troy, starring Brad Pitt, the son had the presentation ready to roll.
As the movie played, a scene with the line “They say your mother is an immortal goddess” appeared on screen. Right on cue, the PowerPoint chimed in with answers, keeping his mom informed without anyone needing to pause the action. It read, “Yes, that is Brad Pitt. He is currently 60 years old. He was 41 when this movie was filmed. Angelina Jolie divorced him in 2016. He has six kids.”
The ingenious hack didn’t just keep the movie night on track—it won hearts online for its humor and practicality. Sometimes, the best solutions are the ones you didn’t know you needed.
"He divorced Jennifer Aniston in 2005," the slide revealed. The brother remarked, "These are the types of questions she asks." The mom looked at the screen and the presentation with great interest as the actor said, "Wouldn't be bothered with a shield then, would I?" The caption read, "He was so fed up with answering questions." The video garnered a lot of attention online and received nearly 50 million views and over 6.4 million likes. People expressed their thoughts on the man's idea and shared experiences with their parents in the comments.
@thepamelabaldwin wrote, "The way your mom just sits and watches quietly with that slide up there just confirms that this was necessary." @watchtowermds52476 commented, "I could seriously start a business of pop-up movie facts for the parents who annoy their kids. I know we millennials loved watching pop-up videos as teens, and this would be awesome." @bellabee22 remarked, "I'd never ask. I'm just silently Googling, starting off at the actor's name and ending with who won the Olympics gold medal in 1976 for Equestrian." @levi_mikasa21 shared, "I think my husband might want to make me a PowerPoint. My common two questions every time are: 'Where have we seen him before?' and 'How old is he?'"
@ms.winterglory expressed, "Watching 'The Prestige' with my mom was a nightmare. Every two minutes, 'So that's his twin?' 'So that's his twin, right? It's his twin?' 'Are you sure It's not his twin?'" @hairbydestinyhope_ disclosed, "Instead of asking, I just Google. I have so much random unnecessary knowledge because I need to know the answer to every single question that pops into my head during a movie." @mel_golden.72 suggested, "I would add paper and pen for her to write down additional questions that can be addressed at the end of the movie."
