Have you ever wondered what you would do if someone told your parents that you were dead and a few months later, they realized that you were alive? That's exactly what happened with a man named Callum. A New Zealand Radio Show–that goes by @fvhzm on TikTok–hosted by Fletch, Vaughan and Hayley, shared a conversation with a man named Callum, who shared how his sister told his parents that he was dead and six months later when he called them, they were shocked to know that he was alive

The video began with the host, Fletch, asking Callum on a call, "Have you been presumed dead?" To which he responded, "Yes, I have been presumed dead, mate." He went on to say that his parents thought that he was dead for about six months and explained how that exactly happened. "My sisters were in a tiff with my parents and they weren't getting along and I was living in Wellington while they were in Christchurch and my older sister actually called my parents up and told them that I had died," he shared on the call. He added that his sisters even told the parents that they'd already had the funeral and his ex-girlfriend's parents didn't want them there. At this point, the hosts were surprised and one of them told Callum, "Your sister sounds like a crazy b***h."

So, Vaughan asked Callum how his parents didn't know for six months. He responded, "Yeah, I was just busy with life and work and then I was like, 'Wait, I haven't heard from my parents for a while and what's going on.'" And then when he called his parents, they were like, "Are you alive?" Callum then shared his parents were running around and calling up all their other family members and asking if they had a conversation with their son.

"So my parents just presumed, 'Yeah, he died,'" he shared. Fletch was curious if his parents were upset when they learned the truth. He recounted, "Yeah, my mum was absolutely in tears and my dad was trying to just gobsmack, 'What is going on?'" The host then asked Callum about what was told about how he died. The man replied that his sisters told the parents that he was stabbed. After listening to that, Vaughan said, "So, you were not dead by your own hand or dead in an accident. Someone murdered you."

He then shared that his parents were over the moon when they met him. "I pretty much went down there that weekend to see them. Just to reassure them that 'Look, it's really me,'" he said. The hosts expressed that it was the "wildest call" they had ever had on their show. When the host asked if his parents were surprised that Callum was on the receiving end of the stabbing. "I will say at the point in time it wouldn't have been non-peculiar for me to get stabbed," he told the hosts. The podcast ended with the host joking that his sister really hates him.

People in the comments were shocked after hearing the story. @kiki_ _bella commented, "Sons, call your parents more! This 100% would not have gone on that long with a daughter." @kayleefotografeert wrote, "The longer I watch this video, the better this gets. It's like the gift that keeps on giving." @nicolajoseph expressed, "They didn't visit his grave? They didn't try to clear out his house and belongings? How can they just leave it for 6 months." @esylahc said, "Why didn't his parents call the police? Like to ask about the case or something at least."
