She shares a warning about the clash between birthdays and Christmas that parents experience when they have winter babies.
Planning for a baby is often a compulsory and crucial step partners adopt but who is ever really ready for a baby? Every parent goes through so many unexpected moments and experiences that many have taken to debate whether there might be a perfect time of the year to have children. While many parents consider a lot of options and ideas while planning for a child, there is one surprising aspect that many leave out which was hilariously taken up by a TikTok mom named Sarah. The mom, who has two babies born during the winter months, makes a hysterical case for not having babies during winter.
“Shoutout to all the parents whose babies are born in November, December, or January and I’m gonna go at the end of February because I got two in that month,” she says in her video. Elaborating on the same, the mom speaks about how Christmas clashes with the kid's birthdays and how it wreaks havoc on parents. “If it’s before or during Christmas, you have to have a Christmas birthday pile of gifts and a Christmas presents pile of gifts,” she says before going on an amusingly honest rant about how birthday party planning becomes more tedious than ever given the cold temperatures.
She shares that one would have to have an indoor party due to the weather which means more preparations, strain and exhausting tasks for parents to add to the list. “It’s a very financially unstable time for all of us,” Sarah adds. Gauging from her experience, she suggests: “If you’re planning to procreate and you haven’t yet, do it in the winter months so that you can have a summer baby and avoid this whole fiasco.” Adding to this, the mom also discloses that having a baby in November was no fun either. “I had my last baby on Thanksgiving, the hospital food was no good. Zero stars,” she hysterically says.
Sharing the most important witty message to summarize her video, Sarah says, “If you want to be having fun summer birthdays, don’t be getting all jiggy with it in June. Sincerely, from a parent of all winter babies.” The video gained over 2k comments with some parents desperately agreeing with Sarah’s message. @katherinehart1 added to the hilarious message with more mind-boggling information: “My husband is December 9th, I’m December 22nd and our son is December 26th. December is hard!”
@messyjessiebear agreed, saying: “Yes! Coming from a December baby who birthed a December baby.” Several others decided to have their laugh at December babies while flaunting their summer birthday experiences. @yesmariam1 said, “I learned this real fast because my mother was born in December before Christmas and she hated it. Had my kids in October and February.” Others shared their experience of what December birthdays feel like. @insertwittypunhere_ said, “I’m a December baby. Don’t get me started on the 2-in-1 gifts with Christmas paper and cards."
