Grandpa who lives far away finds a unique way to be a part of granddaughter's life
He can't see his granddaughter as often as he would like to. So, he decided to cheer her up in the most creative way possible.
Distance should not be a hurdle when it comes to the expression of love. Even if someone is far away, there are ways anyone can express their affection and care for a loved one. This grandpa proves this by putting in immense effort to be a part of his granddaughter's life. He lives far away from her and can't see her regularly. So. he came up with a creative way to be a part of her life. The child's mom, Nika Diwa—who goes by @nikadiwa on TikTok—shared that he made a YouTube channel just for his granddaughter.
In the first frame, the granddad can be seen holding a stuffed toy in one hand and a book in the other. Then, he does a small puppet show for the child. He asks a stuffed toy, "You want to be cute?" and it responds to him, "Yes, I want to be cute." In the next frame, he is again talking to another stuffed dog. Toward the end, the child gets excited seeing a penguin on the screen and says, "I want that right now." The hard work that the grandfather has been putting into making these YouTube videos shows his love for the child.
People loved the grandfather's wholesome gesture for his grandkid and some even shared similar experiences. "My mom and dad have passed, but I wish they could see their grandparents like this," wrote @a_reyessunshine. @1welcometolalaland1 added, "This is the cutest thing ever. I feel like Miss Rachel would love this, so cute." Some could not help but praise the grandfather's dedication. '"If he wanted to, he would,' but dad edition," said @jessijaycreative. "This is so cute. He's so sweet for doing that and he's so sweet for wanting to watch them grow up and learn new things," shared @iranymarquina.

Most grandparents love to spoil their grandkids and that's what Tracy Ellis' father was doing for his grandchildren. Until she asked him to stop getting them sugary treats like candies and chocolates whenever he visited their house. So, the next time he came to their place, he had strawberries and raspberries for them. The TikTok video posted by Ellis shows the grandad dancing with his grandchild with some healthy snacks. It is captioned, "Grandpa over here respecting boundaries by bringing berries. Love him for that."
People on the internet appreciated the grandpa for being so understanding and respectful. @itsallabouthope_ commented, "Love this! He found an alternative. A lot of grandparents would be mad that you weren't letting them 'have fun.'" @adriennemarquez2 shared his experience, "My MIL always gives my kids fruit. They get excited when we go to her because of it. And then I try to remind them we have the same fruit at home...must taste better at grandma's place." @chemicalsister said, "Let him bring the candy! My dad used to bring my oldest a sweet treat every time he showed up and that's one of our fondest memories of him."
