A customer left a very strange note for the delivery driver and people online had their say on it.
Delivery drivers have seen it all—strange instructions, unexpected encounters, and plenty of unusual four-legged greeters. But one Amazon driver recently came across a request so unique that it had the internet in stitches. Reddit user u/fakdpodcast shared a delivery instruction their friend, an Amazon driver, received while on their route. This wasn’t the typical “leave at the door” or “place behind the flowerpot” kind of note. Instead, it came with an oddly specific emotional request—for a pig.
The instructions read, "No recipient required. Deliver to: Front door receive. Pig is very sensitive. Walking by her [and] completely ignoring her will result in her feeling self-conscious and becoming depressed for several hours. It will be highly appreciated that if you don't pet her or scratch her back, that you say hi to her. Thanks!"
Reactions to the wholesome request quickly poured in, with many people on the platform completely on board with prioritizing the pig’s feelings.
u/HeinleinGang joked, "The pig and I are now besties. Have gone to live in the forest so she can be with her people. I am now the leader of 30-50 wild hogs. Send snacks." u/funatpartiez wrote, "Haha, I have to say that pigs are very sensitive and really do sulk for hours if they get their feelings hurt." u/Fleedjitsu commented, "If that pig came up to me looking for attention, then I just don't know how I could not give scritches!" u/OlyGator chimed in, "Oh my God, imagine having a huge route and just an all-around bad day and then BAM you get to give a pig some lovins. That would be amazing." u/hjugf added, "As someone that delivers with them, this is the only kind of special request I’m on board with."
u/LotLizzardRhonda recalled a past job where pigs were part of the workday. "When I worked for the power company, all my coworkers were afraid to go in this guy's backyard because he had a pig. I knocked on the guy's door and asked for his permission to go in his backyard, he's like, 'Whatever man, do what you gotta do.' I asked, 'What about the pig?' 'Oh, he's a good pig. He won't bite.' It was actually kinda tame. The pig was just happy to see people and I petted him like it was a pet dog with tusks." This is not the only time an Amazon delivery has come with a little extra entertainment. In another story, one driver recently turned a routine drop-off into a viral internet moment.
In a video shared by Erin Noyes (@whisperfillies on TikTok), the delivery driver had an unexpected interaction with an AI security system. As he approached the house, an automated voice announced, "Hi, you're currently being recorded." Without missing a beat, the driver shot back, "Hi, I currently don't care." The response seemed nonchalant at first, but he wasn’t done. With a burst of confidence, he flexed his muscles and declared, "Because I am Amazon!" He struck a pose, then continued, "FedEx doesn’t look like this," before doubling down with, "FedEx ain't built like this." After delivering his final words, he shrugged and walked off. Noyes couldn’t believe what she had just witnessed. She captioned the video, "When I was simply expecting some art supplies for my art business, and instead, I was delivered so much more. FedEx don’t look like this!"
