After a certain age, most children move out of their parent's home and live independently for a variety of reasons. However, there are a few who return back to their childhood homes. Olivia Zelon—who goes by @oliviazelon on TikTok—posted a video explaining why she returned home. The video has got 399.6K views and 186 comments on the social media platform. At the start of the video, we can see Zelon's mother and father in the kitchen on a Sunday morning, looking quite relaxed while grooving to "Rockin' Robin" by Bobby Day.

The duo can be seen dancing like nobody is watching and moving around the kitchen, enjoying each other's company. Her father picks up a spoon and pretends to strum it like a guitar while her mother looks quite cool with her sunglasses and dance moves. The text overlay reads, "Me to random Hinge guy: I moved home to start a business. Real reason: My parents on Sunday mornings." People who watched the video loved the parent's cheerful dance and shared their thoughts about it in the comments section.

@must.have.moxie shared, "I still live with my mom (Gilmore vibes) but tell guys I can't move out because 'I had an offer on a house fall through. The real estate market is just so crazy these days.'" @htj5015 commented, "My boyfriend and I are turning into this. We only get every other Saturday and Sunday off together. We are so goofy and enjoy it so much." @brianahmaybel said, "Move over! I'm moving in too. I play an awesome drum, whistle and can flip a pancake."

Deciding to stay with one's parents may be a very sensible option for a lot of people. Grace—who goes by @grace_lemire on TikTok—shared a video where she explained the many reasons she chose to live with her parents in her mid-20s, even though she had a six-figure salary. She begins the video by explaining why living with her parents works out for her. The first one is that rent is free. Since rent takes up a significant portion of an individual's salary, getting to skip out on it can be incredibly beneficial.

She also mentions, "I am an entrepreneur, so my income changes a lot. Just because I made a lot in the past three months doesn't mean that the next three months are going to look like that, so I'm waiting till I have a bit more buffer." Since the income from her present job can be prone to fluctuations, she does not want to jump into living alone. The third reason is, "I wanted to make sure I paid off all my student loans." Grace reveals that living with her parents has really helped her in clearing all of her student debt.

The final reason is that she has no idea where she wants to move to. Even though she is leaning towards Los Angeles, she found out that renting would cost her a whopping $3000 in cash. This makes her wonder if it is a worthwhile investment. In addition to that, this high cost is what made it difficult for her to fully commit to moving out.
