Talent doesn’t have a predefined background or set of requirements. All one needs is hard work and belief. Richard Goodall exercised the same and delivered a spectacular performance on "America’s Got Talent." In a clip shared by Heidi Klum, she expressed her pleasure in having the honor of hearing Goodall. The man, who recently earned the Golden Buzzer and the hearts of millions, shared his inspiring story through a song and it’s a tear-jerker. “I was that kid in my bedroom with the radio shack. My favorite thing was to blast my music and belt it out,” Goodall said. When he eventually had to look for a job, he turned to Chelsea Rose Middle School.

Goodall took up a job as a janitor at the school a few blocks away from his home. “I’m not a fancy person. I take out the trash, I clean the tables, I sweep the floors and I just try to keep people happy,” Goodall shared. When he received the opportunity to perform on stage, Goodall didn't believe his luck. He had been following his passion for singing alongside his work to keep himself company. “I’ve been a janitor for 23 years,” Goodall said before revealing his dream of singing. When asked why he chose the song he did, Goodall said, “The song speaks for itself.”

Goodall was moved to tears in nervousness before performing. The crowd cheered him on with applause and he took a deep breath before he started. As soon as the beat hit, Goodall rendered the most electrifying version of “Don’t Stop Believin” by "Journey." His powerful voice echoed in an energetic and uplifting aura and he was unstoppable. Goodall just knew he had to give his best on stage and he hit every note with perfection, leaving people awe-struck. Undoubtedly, the song spoke for itself. The end of his performance saw humongous applause from the audience, followed by a standing ovation from the judges.

After earning the Golden Buzzer, Goodall was overwhelmed with emotion. “Richard, you are my hero. I think that was genuinely special, I think America is going to love you,” Simon Cowell exclaimed. Howie Mandel rendered one of the most beautiful compliments Goodall could ever receive. He said, “You know, maybe it’s because you’ve been doing it for 23 years, you just cleaned up. I can imagine every kid in school with you is just screaming. This is amazing!” The good old janitor “swept” the judges off their feet and what a magnificent moment it was.

Klum shared a heartfelt caption alongside Goodall’s video, “Richard, Richard, Richard! You are living proof that we should never stop dreaming, believing, and singing! I cannot wait for America to fall in love with you like I have. It’s an honor to hit my Golden Buzzer for you.” @drbuddhathai wrote, “Lost count how many times I have replayed this incredible performance!” @aloha_brooks exclaimed, “I'm sobbing. So well deserved!” @KixxHai remarked, “Way to go for it, Richard! Not just a great song but a great message and performance.”
