Dad who wasn't an academic student breaks down in tears after daughter receives 4 awards at school

Parents want the best for their children and every little milestone makes a huge difference. A dad (@mr.review832) shared a heart-melting video expressing his joy and delight after his daughter achieved a milestone at her school. The dad’s pure and overwhelming reaction has everyone in awe and it’s a sight that soothes the heart. The dad wanted to share his joy with others and recorded his message in joyous tears.

“Call me south, call me what y'all want but I never expected my child to receive four awards,” the dad exclaimed. Happy tears kept rolling down his face and he had to stop to breathe and speak. The dad mentioned that he wasn’t great at school so this moment meant more than just an achievement for him. “I’ve never been an academic student, I have never reached those heights before,” he recalled. In a delightful pride, he exclaimed, “Call me weak, call me lame but I never expected that to come from me.” He kept wiping his tears and trying to figure out the words that could best deliver his sentiments. 

“I’m proud of my daughter, I’m proud,” he kept repeating. He mentioned that he could cry in front of his daughter as well but his moment of realization and fulfillment was too immense. His eyes glistened from the tears constantly welling up and he could only think of the word “proud”. “I’m fu**ing proud,” he added. He mentioned that he was driving to work and the sheer thought of his daughter having achieved so much has him overwhelmed. He was stunned to speak but wanted to scream the news as much as he could. In his caption, the dad shared his joy further. He explained, “Proud father! Never have I ever received any of those awards but for my seed and my flesh and blood to do it, I couldn’t be happier,” he wrote.

The dad’s words were proof that his daughter’s success had healed his inner child and ignited hope and light in him. People were in tears at the dad’s raw and upfront reaction.
