The renowned food outlet Arby’s has planned to erase the lunch debt for over 7000 students, per Trendy Digests. Though it may seem like a regular expense to waive off, for families and students, it is a sigh of relief and a big chuck being saved from their pockets. The Arby’s Foundation had waived off over $200,000 in student lunch debt from four metro schools in Atlanta. The aim was to provide children with nutritious meals without them worrying about how they’re going to afford them.

Child hunger has become a global problem and children are starving because they’re unable to afford proper and efficient meals throughout the day. Arby’s is aiming to take one step ahead towards resolving this hunger issue. Stuart Brown, the Executive Director of Inspire Brands Foundation, shared his input by saying, “Childhood hunger is something that no one should ever have to face, and school lunch should be a time that kids look forward to without worrying if they’ll have a meal that day.” The problem of providing children with nutritious meals with a lack of funds has been quite serious. It recently caused schools switch to a glass of milk and a cheese sandwich only for students who have lunch debt.

Thanks to Arby’s, kids can come to a healthy and balanced meal that fills their tummies efficiently. Arby’s has also invited the public to become a part of the initiative by donating to the cause. In a recent post on Instagram, they shared the camera with Tiffany Haddish to spread the word. Haddish spoke to the people in collaboration with Arby’s to bring awareness about the prevalent and increasing child hunger problem. “Quick quiz for you. How many children do you think are in America right now who stay hungry because they’re unable to afford school lunch?” Haddish asked. She revealed that over 30 million students suffer from hunger.

“I want to eradicate that and I want to find some people to help me with that. And guess what I found?” Haddish excitedly said before revealing that Arby was proud and delighted to be a part of the noble cause. “It’s Arby’s. It’s crazy money that it costs for all these schools, so they’re donating a million dollars,” she said. “As we gear up for the 2023-2024 school year, we’re coming together to donate $1 million towards easing school lunch debt. Join us in this mission by spreading the word,” the caption read. “Let’s pave the way for a brighter future, one meal at a time!” the post concluded. Haddish concluded, “Ya’ll donate because I don’t know about you, but it is hard to learn when you are hungry.” People are all for it and cheering on Arby’s louder than ever. @majjipage said, “Bless Arby’s.” @raccishayhart said, “This is a great thing, Arby’s!”
