There is nothing wrong with wanting to supplement your income in today's economy. And it also makes pragmatic sense if the income passively comes to you. Donald Luxama, a vending machine business owner who goes by @donaldluxama153 on TikTok, revealed how people could get into the vending machine business easily. The video has received nearly 90K views and 61 comments on the platform. The process that Luxama outlines in his video is pretty straightforward.

He begins by saying how people could go around their towns asking friends and family if they wanted a vending machine at their business establishment. He explains, "This is gonna be your pitch, 'Hello, my name is so and so and I'm from so and so business and I was wondering if you would like a free vending machine for your location?'" The individual's primary role would be to service and manage the vending machines.

Luxama highlights how many businesses would say no and that it was okay. If people persevered, they would eventually get someone to agree. "After you finally get that yes, you have to actually find the vending machine," he says. Luxama mentions how people could utilize Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist to find a vending machine between $300 and $700. Once they found a suitable vending machine, they would have to go and test them out. The man shares, "For a snack vending machine, you wanna make sure that all the coils are spinning. You wanna make sure it accepts dollars, quarters, nickels and dimes." The same set of rules applied to a machine that served drinks, although it had to keep the drinks cold.

Luxama insists that people avoid buying a vending machine that cannot keep the drinks cool. Furthermore, if the seller was not letting one test the vending machine, it was best not to buy it. Once individuals were able to settle on a vending machine, they would have to figure out a way to move it to the location. People could take it themselves or opt for a U-Haul to do this. After the vending machine was in its place, the next step was to fill it up with snacks from any store. Luxama shared how individuals could buy the vending machine "on location" to save on moving costs.
