Toxic jobs hurt both the mental and physical well-being of an individual. An employee has to spend more than half of their day knee-deep into their work. It is important that they are surrounded by positive and healthy vibes that encourage them to do better. @tanyadiestelmann was finding none of it in her workplace and after a particular incident, decided to leave it altogether. In a series of four videos, the woman shares how she resigned from the company in a unique and epic manner, leaving her employers shocked beyond their wits. Employees wanting to teach their bosses a lesson should take some notes from her example.

In the first video, she talked about the incident that pushed her to make this decision. She shared how all the employees of the office were asked to attend a mandatory meeting. While everyone was given the luxury to take part in it from the comfort of their homes, this luxury was not given to the employee and she was forced to come to the office and attend the proceedings. She added, "I've got to be at the office to attend the Zoom meeting. The only one there in person to attend is also on Zoom." Though she had been facing issues for a long time, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. She decided to resign, albeit in her own unique way.

In the next video, the employee revealed her resignation letter, which left her employers shocked. The woman wrote her resignation on a sympathy card. “I am submitting my resignation as of the end of the day, December 15, 2023,” Tanya wrote, “Please forward the final records to my home address. Thanks.” She also included her office keys on the card. The idea was that by losing a diligent employee like her, they were undertaking a heartbreak and she could not give them anything but her sympathies, especially after the stunt they pulled. The woman upped the ante by adding, “Sending you so many thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

In the third video of the series, she is seen happily putting on her seat belt and driving away. She emphatically states, "I am finally free. I am done." The last of the series has her giving suggestions to people who find themselves in a similar predicament. She revealed that she was under probation at her previous company and therefore could leave without notice. The employee broke the popular misconception that the probation period is just for the use of bosses to test the workers; it goes both ways. She added, “See what the long-term potential is. If there are red flags and things that come along the way, trust yourself.” In her opinion, it is also the time for employees to see whether the job is a good fit for them or not and if the answer is negative, then the logical step is to move on.

The comments section loved the stunt she pulled while giving her resignation. @sandra.moore81 shared their own relief and commented, "Quit my job yesterday after 16 years of bulls***. Feels amazing!" @jaded_blonde wrote about their disappointment at not being able to pull something like this, "I can’t even give them a nice card like this. We have to put our resignation into our employee portal."
