Motherhood is a magical experience where women get to share the most pristine love with their children. However, one can surely say that it has a myriad of challenges, especially for moms of newborns and toddlers. In this tough phase, it's the profound camaraderie of fellow mothers uplifting each other and sharing wisdom that acts as much-needed reinforcement. Recently, a heartwarming trend has been making its rounds on TikTok where moms anonymously look out for other new moms and it's what the world needs.

A touching video by Danaesha Gonzalez known as @danaeshagonzalez on TikTok kick-started this trend earlier this September and what came next was absolutely wholesome. Stuck between baby products in a supermarket aisle, was a brand-new purse that had not been purchased yet. Showing the accessory in her video, Gonzalez wrote, "She deserved the purse," intending to highlight the mom who prioritized her baby's needs over her own. "To the Mother who chose themselves last, you deserve the world tonight and always," Gonzalez added in the captions.

The video went insanely viral with over 25 million views in a month and this perspective truly moved a lot of mothers on the internet. "Every time I see an item left in the baby aisle I always wish I could find the mom and buy it for her," said @mariahbaileyxx. "It makes me sad to think how much my mother probably gave up for me," chimed in @saltysnakk. Soon, it became a motherhood trend with hundreds of videos under the hashtag #shedeservedthepurse. Another mom, Cecily Bauchmann who goes by @cecilybauchmann on TikTok got inspired by Gonzalez's video and was one of the first ones to "pay it forward" to fellow moms.

During her shopping trip to Target, Bauchmann purchased a gift card worth $100 and decided to gift it anonymously to a mom who may be in need. So, she wrote a heartfelt message on the back of the bill and it read, "Hey! You deserve that special 'you' thing. You are amazing! XOXO." She then took the gift card and the bill to the baby products aisle while baring her soul about how motherhood often demands some sacrifice from women who end up choosing their babies' needs over theirs. She then placed the gift card in between diaper boxes and encouraged fellow mom influencers to participate in such random acts of kindness.

Like a chain reaction, Bauchmann's video, in turn, inspired yet another mom, Abbey Fickley (@abbeyfickley) who followed in her footsteps. Thanking the pioneers of this heartening trend, Fickley shared a video of her trip to the supermarket where she bought a $100 gift card for an unknown mom. "My hope is that a Mama comes across this note. You deserve to buy something for yourself. You're doing great," the note read. Fickley recalled how she used to rely on food stamps to pay for her groceries and now that she can afford life, she wanted to help a Mama in need.

Kindness might as well be infectious because this trend sure inspired many moms to look out for new mothers. Courtney Olson (@courtneyrolson) was one among those who were inspired by Gonzalez and Bauchmann's videos and made her anonymous contribution in the baby products aisle of a supermarket. "I love motherhood and how we all stick together," she wrote in the caption and garnered so much love from the internet. Amidst several critical comments and responses to this trend, with people concerned that the gifts might be stolen or end up in the wrong hands, it restored the faith in humanity for many mothers.
