Her brunch setup is quite innovative and many people on the internet want to become friends with the woman after getting a glimpse of it.
A brunch is a great way to mingle and catch up with friends. It can also be good for the person hosting it to get their creative juices flowing through fun food and decor ideas. But if you don't know how to host your Saturday brunch in an innovative way, Vic Lauren who goes by @viclauren_ on Instagram, might have some amazing ideas for you. The woman has garnered quite some attention online for the "Saturday cafe" she hosts at her home for her friends.
A video with the text overlay, "Hosting another Saturday cafe at home," shows how her decor, food and ambiance look like they jumped straight out of an elegant Gen Z or millennial's Pinterest board. The idea behind the brunch is to bring the feel of hanging out at a cafe at home. Lauren achieves this through an elaborate at-home coffee setup mixed with the freedom and comfort of chatting and talking with people at home. The easy-going brunch is also likely to be much less expensive than meeting at an actual cafe.
Lauren's home cafe is equipped with everything ranging from a dessert tray featuring pain au chocolat, croissants and "Kate's cookies." She also offered a beautifully decorated cake for her friends to help themselves to. To make her living room look more like a cafe, the woman also hung a coffee menu on the wall. It featured coffee options as well as the styles the said coffee was available in. For instance, one could have an espresso, "single or double." As an added benefit, Lauren's home cafe is completely pet-friendly. In the video, her friends seemed to be enjoying their afternoon gathered around her dining table, laughing and talking among themselves. The desserts were freshly baked and the house was lit up with candles to make it resemble a chic cafe.

This wasn't the woman's first time hosting such a wholesome brunch for her friends. In another video, the woman is seen preparing for her "Saturday Cafe" by prepping a pistachio cake and hanging up her coffee menu. From the two videos, one can see that the menu of the cafe remains consistent.
Hence, people can decide what they want to eat at a certain brunch beforehand as well. There was also a home bar set up that featured what looked like wine bottles. People took to the comments section to appreciate the wholesome idea and express how badly they wanted to become friends with the woman.
@geoffreysbrown wrote, "I was sold on the sign and then the cake! Okay, I’m doing this." @theaestheticqueen_ commented, "Okay so you’re the friend who creates experiences. What a true gift!" @ohmybananamuffines wondered, "I love the idea of this. How do you like your espresso machine? Do you feel like it pulls good-quality shots? I want to get one." @camswhatmay asked, "This is so cute!! just wondering if they pay or these are all free and for friends only?" Lauren clarified that she doesn't charge her friends for the party. @breakfast_at_taylors shared, "Love this! We make our house into a weekend gourmet restaurant and have awarded it three honorary Michelin stars, lol."
