Woman's heartwarming reaction to being proposed to at waffle house is redefining love

A proposal is meant to be an intimate and personal experience. It’s not so much about the number of flowers and lights as it is about having a setting that hits home. A man John has smitten the internet by sharing his gorgeously planned adorable proposal which was a wholesome gesture. The video on TikTok captured his simple yet eloquent proposal for the simple reason that it’s cozy and feels personalized. John had just a bouquet, a gorgeous ring and some waffles. No fancy violinist, no suit and champagne, just a good old day and an overflowing emotion to make the time the right one.

John was seated with his partner and was enjoying a meal at a waffle house. He said to his partner, “Look, it takes a real man to make a waffle house romantic.” John turned the camera towards his partner who was busy having her meal and shifted the focus towards a vibrant bouquet. While the woman thought John was talking about the flowers as "romantic,” she continued her meal. “Look baby,” he said as his partner smirked and agreed while eating. As soon as he got her attention, in came a waiter holding a plate of waffles. Except, there was something special about this order.

On the waffles lay a box with the ring waiting for John to pop the question. “And I just have one question,” John said, as the plate of waffles came to the table. His partner only saw the waffles at first glance but when she immediately looked up again, she saw the ring coming her way with John asking, “Will you marry me?” Before he could pop the question, his partner let out a happy gasp. Her reaction said everything about her answer before she even found the words. Mind-boggled, she covered her eyes and chuckled to herself.

As she took the plate in her hand and admired the ring and the waffles, she hysterically said, “I got you beef jerky,” comparing her gift to a breathtaking one. As she took her time to soak it all in, John joked and said to the waiter, “You hear that? She got me beef jerky.” “What do you say?” John asked, “I will marry you,” his partner replied with the widest smile, overwhelmed by the loving surprise. “You gonna show them the ring? The waffle ring?” John joked again. “It’s gorgeous,” his partner replied, holding the box towards the camera before gazing at it tearfully.
