Finding old family possessions can be a heartwarming experience. There is something wonderful about seeing one's parents or grandparents when they were younger. In addition to that, some families also safeguard certain possessions that can be a source of amusement for the generations that follow. Danae, a woman—who goes by @diz_beach_ on TikTok—shared a wholesome video where she showcased some of her grandfather's belongings, which she discovered after he passed away. The video has become very popular on the social media site, with 4.1 million views and 2267 comments.

In the short video with a very warm background soundtrack, we can see the woman open up a box that contains what seems to be a belt, a few articles of clothing, a passport, and most adorably, one of his baby outfits. She takes out the cute little green dress, which even has a cap to go with it and lays it out on the floor to admire. Danae writes in the text overlay, "This sound is exactly how it felt when my grandfather passed and I found out his baby outfit was being thrown away." The woman expresses that every "maternal cell" in her body is weeping. She also emotionally points out, "He was once just a boy, someone's baby boy." Danae shares in the caption how she hopes that future generations in her family will continue this amazing practice of safekeeping baby clothes.

People were very touched by the video and shared their thoughts in the comments section. @kylieghwolfe said, "The thought of someone throwing away my kids' homecoming outfits is gut-wrenching." @theprofessionalreject shared, "I'm a carer at an aged care center, and when I'm feeding the bed-bound residents, I like to think about when their mothers would have fed them when they were babies, and now I'm feeding them as old people." @thechiwowwow expressed, "I have been crying about this for at least 30 minutes now and spiraling."

Grandparents have a unique bond with their grandchildren. u/pplaidllama shared a post on Reddit about how she got to know just how much her grandpa loved her after he passed away. The granddaughter discovered something that filled her with joy when she went to clean up her grandfather's house with her family. She wrote, "I found that he had kept every card I'd ever sent him. Every. Single. One. I'd been sending them twice a month for the last 10 years to keep him updated on my life." The woman found the postcards in a place that was easily accessible and figured that her grandfather had cherished them a lot over the years.

She shared in the post how her grandfather had only turned 93 and that the family even went out for dinner to his favorite steak house on his birthday. The granddaughter hilariously stated how the steak house would have probably gone out of business since the 1970s if not for her grandfather's loyal patronage. He had no health problems, lived in his own house and was a very joyful person. The man passed away peacefully in his own house, which was a small comfort in a time of grief for her.

@diz_beach_ I hope my kids grandkids love them enough to want to keep their baby outfits safe for me too. 🥺 #fypツ ♬ original sound - Claire Boyer
