Woman's adorable childhood home video shows she always dreamed of marrying her now-husband

Very few people in this universe are lucky enough to know the love of their life at a young age. Often, we observe that relationships formed during school or college do not last very long. However, a couple from California chose to take the rare path of staying together for more than two decades—first as friends and then as romantic partners. On the occasion of her tenth wedding anniversary, singer and songwriter Kira Jade—who goes by @kirajadenixon on Instagram—posted about how she decided to marry her now-husband, Tim Nixon (@timnixon87), during their childhood in the early 1990s.

“Ten years married today, but a whole lifetime of loving you, my Timmy,” she wrote while celebrating their long journey of staying together through thick and thin. The video showed young Kira, in fancy attire, playing around when her dad approached her with a surprising question. “Who’s gonna be your boy you’re marrying?” he asked. To which the little girl replied, “I don’t have any.”

“Only Timmy,” Jade quickly added with all her childhood innocence. Her dad’s follow-up question was: “Timmy, who?” To which the now country singer clarified, “Timmy Nixon.” At this point, the 32-second video transitions from 1992 to 2014, showing Jade and Nixon actually tying the knot, turning their early admiration for one another into a solid bond. The couple appeared joyful before they sealed their marriage with a kiss.

In the post caption, Kira called it an unforgettable moment of her life. “I’ll never forget the day we found this old video. Tim and I had just started dating and decided to watch old home videos. When we found this one, our jaws dropped,” she wrote. “Tim and I met at Sunday school and it was no secret that I had loved him my whole life but now we had proof! This along with all of the preteen diaries scribbled with my name and his in hearts all over it.” The couple now happily enjoys their lives in the countryside with their beautiful children, according to several other clips they've shared online.

The video creator further revealed that she “crushed so hard on him for so long, and he had no idea.” Jade shared another anecdote about how she tried to give hints to Tim by kissing the back of his head on her sixth birthday at McDonald's. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and the duo parted ways until Jade's family returned to their hometown after high school. The video has inspired many, garnering millions of views online, along with reactions praising their love for each other.
