One thing that all the adults will to agree is that you start to lose friends once you start getting older. It isn't always a bad thing but as we grow as adults making friends can prove to be a daunting task. As our collective knight in shining armor, Fane Taylor—who goes by @accountofbuddies on TikTok— shared a video is titled "Things I learned after going on 50 Bumble BFF dates" and it stays true to it.

Taylor starts the video by saying, "I went on 50 Bumble BFF dates and I went from someone who had no friends to someone who has a flourishing social life. So here's what I learned." She then dives right into what this experience taught her. The first thing she learned was that since everyone is there to make friends, there is no point in wasting time texting. It is just easier to meet in a coffee shop when something seems to click. This will help you know if you swiped right on the correct friend or not faster. Secondly, she says that people-pleasing is a big no-no. She elaborates, "After meeting so many people, I've learned that people pleasing will only get you used."

The next thing she seemingly learned the hard way was that it is never wise to go on a trip with someone you just met online. This can be due to a lot of factors like having no idea about their personal hygiene or financial habits. The fourth learning is more of a tip. She says how texting each other random things throughout the day can make the friendship more fun. After all, what's not to love about a hilarious meme or a cute animal video every now and then?

Next, she suggested finding a common interest or hobby. Basically, something that can be done together once a week or so, like going on morning walks, grocery shoppin or playing tennis. The sixth thing that these 50 BFF dates taught Taylor was to know the importance of making a list of things one can do. She explains, "I went on Bumble BFF when I was kind of broke. So I had to create a list of just dates I wanted to do that were free. So do that for yourself." In fact, she also made a follow-up video which has over 25 fun ideas that cost little to no money. Saving the best for last, she highlights the importance of mingling with groups to have more friends. When you introduce a new friend to your circle and vice-versa, you both end up with more friends. And isn't that the final goal?

She concluded the video by saying that once you gain confidence in yourself and understand your own worth, you will stop overthinking things. A viewer and former Bumble user @gorgon.zo.la said, "Bumble BFF changed my life. Met my core friend group there and eventually met my spouse on there." @alexhonadel, started a walking group. They said, "I started a walking group! It’s been 3 months now!" Like Taylor said, "We're all here for the same reasons. So just enjoy it and see where it takes you."
