Woman who adopted her little brother from foster care surprises him with the trip of a lifetime

The foster care system in the US has always had mixed results with children. While it has helped a lot of children get the proper care they need, many end up being separated from their brothers and sisters. Fortunately, some siblings manage to reunite even after going through the foster system. TikTok creator @hannahrobinson.photog got to adopt her step-brother after he spent a considerable amount of time in foster care. She posted a video where she took her little brother, TJ, out to Disney World.

The video has become quite popular on both TikTok and Instagram, with millions of views and hundreds of comments. At the beginning of the short clip, we see the siblings in the car and the older sister saying, "You and I are going to the airport right now to go to Disney World." Her brother is in disbelief upon hearing this and thinks that his sister is bluffing. She points to the back of the car, telling him how both of their bags were packed. The text overlay reveals how she had adopted him just a year ago from foster care and how both of them were dealing with childhood trauma together.

TJ looks in the back and screams in delight, knowing that he is actually going to Disney World. The video cuts and we see the duo at the airport, where the little boy is seen dragging a suitcase with a sticker of a famous cartoon character, Minnie Mouse, on it. Both of them go around the theme park and the little boy could not be happier. They play around a bit at one of the parks there and the boy can be seen running around with glee, chasing his sister.

We also get to see him enjoying the rollercoaster, playing around with a few toys and enjoying some gourmet food. The video concludes with the boy and his sister sitting in what seems to be bumper cars and a text overlay reading, "I can't believe how lucky I am." People loved the video and put down their thoughts in the comments section. @nathanstrickland27 wrote, "Your love and compassion are contagious. This is pure goodness. May millions of others see this and be inspired to show kindness to others."

The woman also posted a video on Instagram where she criticized the foster system for being broken. We see the siblings looking into the camera and laughing. The text overlay reads, "My brother was born into foster care and he lived through a traumatic five years before I was finally allowed to adopt him." At the end of the clip, we can see him as an adorable baby playing with his sister.

She wrote in the caption, "We missed out on so much time together. But we're making up for it." People commended the woman for her efforts in the comments section. @hannah_plummer said, "He once deserved better, but now he's been given better. He'll always know how hard you fought for him. What a testament to your love for him. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story."
