The Christmas season has been overwhelmingly joyful with presents, decorations, family and loved ones around. While the entire family may have pitched in to make the celebrations worthwhile, moms everywhere have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to fix everything down to detail. They have exhaustively been doing their regular chores and caring for kids and family alongside the added holiday requirements. Though it may have been mesmerizing, it sure has been stressful and tiring. Cat Sims, an author and a podcaster who goes on Instagram as @notsosmugnow, shared a video with a much-needed message for all fellow mothers.

In her video, she addressed all mums working behind the scenes and at the forefront during the holiday season and said they deserved something special. "If you are a mum, here's a message," she said. The message, as simple as it could be, was, "Go and have a nap." The mom was very straightforward about her message. "Just f**king go. Don't tell anyone. Just leave. Just go quietly upstairs," the mom stressed. She suggested finding a quiet room where no one could bother and take as much time as one needed to get a nap or rest. "Take your bra off, get your jammies on," the mom said, hinting to go all out and do whatever mums need to get that maximum level of comfort.

"Just take half an hour, one hour, a couple of hours, whatever it takes," the mom added. For all moms wondering why, the woman shared the reason behind the same. "We all deserve it because we're at the end of six weeks of running around," the mom remarked. She further elaborated how the holiday period has been hectic for mums more than anyone else and hence, the nap is a well-deserved reward. "We're at the end of six weeks of cooking and cleaning and wrapping and all the rest of it," she highlighted. Ensuring that her message is loud and clear and heeded by moms, the woman added more confirmation.

"The tidings will look after themselves, the kids are fine, everybody else can look after themselves," she said. "You need to look after yourself," the mom said, ushering every mama to kick off their shoes and get their much-needed rest and leisure. No strings attached, no worries about anything, no planning, no nothing, just a walk to the coziest room and straight to bed for as long as required was the message from this fantastic mom who relates with every other exhausted parent. "Go for a nap. Now," the mom commanded as she concluded her video.

The holidays are a time to have fun, but one must appreciate the painstaking efforts others put in to make the time enjoyable. In her caption, the mom wrote, "Go and have a nap. Sneak out. Don't tell anyone and take some time for yourself. It's been a long six weeks or so. I see you. I am you and if you need me, I'll be hiding with a bar of dairy milk." Several moms resonated with the message. @m.a.m.a.f.o.x said, "I love this. I'm 51, a mum, a recent grandma, and a widow. I'm frankly knackered today. But do you know what? I'm having that nap." @accebersnomis said, "I did it! I snoozed after Santa's presents this morning!!! First time!"
