The woman shared a video showing what happens when her house's circuit breaker is flipped. It is quite disturbing until you learn what's happening.
Have you ever wondered what you would do if one of your electrical appliances started making creepy sounds? That was what happened to a woman named Cecil, who goes by @dieselhill on TikTok. She shared a video on the platform, showing what happens when her house's circuit breaker is flipped and it is quite distressing. Her video went viral, garnering over 10 million views.
The 27-second video began with the text overlay, "Help! Every time we flip the breaker for the kitchen, we hear someone talking so clearly through our microwave. We have heard really creepy sounds." Cecil then flips the breaker for the kitchen to capture the strange sounds that the microwave has been making. About 15 seconds into the video, a man can be heard singing "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo and "I'm The Man" by Aloe Blacc. However, it is not a clear voice, so it does sound a bit creepy.
It was captioned, "My microwave is talking because of old deleted messages playing/ it's malfunctioning." People in the comments shared their views on the microwave's sounds. @alexgiassi commented, "You can record custom messages to play whenever your food is done. It is part of the boot-up sequence, so it plays here too. That's part of the GE series microwave." @beetlejes wrote, "That microwave has a voice memo feature. He's singing, 'Talk Dirty' by Jason Derulo and 'I'm The Man' by Aloe Blacc. Both songs are from ten years ago, so I'm guessing he recorded this around a decade ago."
@tlaarcher expressed, "Oh, this happened to me before! You have to take out the microwave and there should be a little door in the back-open it and tell the miniature man to turn down his mic and it'll go away. I hope this helps." @ana.banahnah said, "I have the same microwave! This happens with ours too, only the message is the lady who used to own our house saying, 'Oooh, I'm coming to get you.'" @sammyjanecrane expressed, "Our old microwave had a recording feature on it. One day, a message from our son got saved in it and we have no idea how. After he passed due to cancer, I would play it and bawl my eyes out."

In a follow-up video, Cecil shared that she hadn't expected the video to blow up so much. "I really just wanted someone to tell me why there was a man talking to me out of my microwave," she said. She added that when she posted the video, she didn't know there was a message button on the microwave. Cecil explained, "I didn't know that microwaves could even do that. We never had one like that when I was growing up." She then opened the appliance and showed how to record and play a message.
"When you press the button, a little message thing comes up and you talk for 20 seconds and then it will show you a notification that there's a message on there and that never really goes away until you play the message and then you delete the message," she said. "This is all news to me. I didn't know that any of this is possible and then when the breakers flip and the microwave comes back on, it can recycle through old deleted messages that were deleted but somehow are saved." She added that it was either that or her wiring was faulty, causing her microwave to act as a radio. "I didn't know microwaves can do that either," Cecil revealed.
@dieselhill Did not expect the video to blow up and the comments are stressing me out so i will probably delete the video later
