Woman tries to catch boyfriend checking out 'hot girl' — but he's hooked on a silly 'hockey meme' instead

Love can be weirdly hilarious and hilariously wholesome, even when you least expect it. Megan Kinna, who goes by @megankinna on TikTok, shared a video capturing her reaction to her boyfriend’s goofy side as he was scrolling through his Instagram feed. Forget candlelight dinners, deep conversations, and roses.

The video showed Megan cuddling with her boyfriend, who was scrolling through Instagram on his phone. Given their strange positioning, the woman faced the camera while her boyfriend faced the other way. As he scrolled on his phone, the phone screen was visible on the screen. "Waiting for him to get to a hot girl but couldn't keep it together," the woman wrote in the overlay text. Her boyfriend continued scrolling through random posts in his feed and stopped at a post that showed some hockey players playing a game, much to the girlfriend's surprise.

In the hockey clip, viewers could see a man flying through the air at a towering height. Seeing her boyfriend stop at such a random post, Megan couldn’t help but laugh. "Like, why was that hilarious?” she captioned the video in what might look like a perfect scene for a romantic comedy. The video amassed over 8 million views.

“It's so funny [because] he stopped on it for so long that it had me laughing so hard,” Megan, who is also a pro lacrosse player for Team Canada, remarked in a comment. Hoping to catch her boyfriend red-handed, the post he stopped at was the last thing Megan expected.

Thousands of people jumped into the comments section to share how the couple’s hilarious video left them rolling in the aisles. Many of them said how Megan’s unflinching stare at the camera creeped them out. “This is creeping me out,” said @jakiya. @hear2mylittlesenpai wrote, “[You are] scaring me omg. Why are [you] staring like that!” @swiss quipped, “I did not notice your face staring into my soul and jumped when I did.”
