A husband and wife relationship is as serious as it is playful. Couples on social media indulge in frequent banters, making fun of each other. In one such video, a woman recorded her husband being tricked into a doctor's appointment and looking absolutely flustered. She then uploaded the clip on TikTok and a lot of netizens could surprisingly relate to it.
A TikTok account, Sarah and Spencer (@sarahandspencer) detailed their interaction as she stopped the car midway. "Why did you stop?" asked the husband holding a cup of coffee while staring at his wife in confusion. "You're gonna have a doctor's appointment," she replied while still looking puzzled. "I booked you a doctor's appointment last week. I'm not joking," she reiterated.
"Uh huh, yeah. Let me go to the doctor's appointment," the husband reacted while smiling and assuming his wife was pulling a prank on him. "I booked you a doctor's appointment. You have an appointment with Dr. Stein in like 20 minutes," she asserted. By now, it dawned on him that she hadn't been kidding around and there was an actual appointment. "Dr. Stein?" he confirmed. "Yes, I booked it for you last week," she said while he asked, "Who's that? I don't know who that is." She tells him the reality, "I just decoyed you with the coffee."
"This is... are you... this is a medical building," he asked. "I know, you have a doctor's appointment in 20 minutes," she contended. Despite his wife's continued persistence, he still thought it was a joke. "What, what do you mean? We're getting coffee," he once again inquired. "No, we're not getting coffee that was..." she added before the husband interrupted again, "You said we were getting coffee, look," lifting up the coffee cup they just got.
But she contested, "I know, we have coffee but it's right before your appointment. Now go, get out. Or they're gonna charge you a late fee." Soon after he finally gives up protesting and understands this is no prank. Instead, his wife has duped him into a doctor's visit in the guise of grabbing a coffee. "What time is it?" he asked. "Ask for Dr. Stein. It's in 20 minutes. Get out."
The video then cuts to the husband standing on a sidewalk with a grumpy and disappointed face as his wife drives past him. Interestingly, several people on TikTok could relate and left their two cents in the comment section. @Kelsey Jade Fields wrote, "This is actually probably exactly what a dog's internal monologue sounds like." @Shay Farrell shared her story, "My husband has bad medical anxiety and this is pretty much what we gotta do to get him there, lol."
A husband on TikTok, @Ducky, shared how his wife often deceives him into going to the medics, "We call it a bologna ride, like the puppies. But my wife takes me places I never want to be. Like we head to the library and 'stop by' to get flu shots. Bologna ride." @Tik Toker quipped, "Having to parent a partner is crazy." @MBMEsquire added, "The 'Get out' kills me, lmao." @j_purr commented, "Sometimes you gotta treat the golden retriever partner like a golden retriever." Meanwhile, some other folks wished they had such a thoughtful partner as well. @Auntie Ann added, "I wish I had a woman who cared about me this much." @Not_forFree echoed, "I need someone to do this for me."
