This text exchange between two sisters accurately sums up the relationship between siblings.
No matter what happens in your life, the bittersweet sibling rivalry remains constant. The topic may vary from clothes to food to anything, but the banter never ends. Alia (@hobiecatdarling) proved this when she shared a page from her life on TikTok. She was hooked up to the IV drip and decided to text her sister, who is a nurse, to update her about it. Her sister's reply was the most sibling-y reply one can imagine.
"POV: Your sister is a nurse so you text her for advice but she is still your sister," Alia wrote on the overlay text of her video and then showed a bunch of screenshots from their chatbox that proved that almost every sibling around the world share same relationship dynamics. "They are putting me on an IV," Alia texts her sister. "Okay! Gotcha! Good. Tell me what they are doing?" her sister texts back. In response, Alia sends her a picture of lying on the hospital bed, her arm connected to the IV drip and a vital monitoring device connected to her finger.
However, rather than asking about Alia's health and well-being, her sister makes an odd observation. Alia was wearing her sister's maroon-colored top which turned out to be a greater concern for the sister. "That's my shirt," her sister typed back and the video cut off at 15 seconds, garnering millions of views and likes.
@ladygagasmeatdress1068 wrote, "When they put a cast on me they had to cut my one of my pants legs and my sister said 'hope those weren’t my pants'." @kintsugikenz commented, "I could be laying dead in my coffin and she’d still try to beef with me for wearing something of hers one time." @clareryan91 quipped, "I remember when my little sister was 10 and begged my 14-year-old sister to wear her jumper, she said only if she doesn't get it dirty or she'll kill." @niktiktokniknak shared, "Omg I’m a nurse and this is totally something I would say to my sister and call her out for wearing something of mine!" @danish.dreams added, "As the older sister I will unplug your supply if you don’t stop with the shirts."
People who grew up without a sibling might wonder what it is like to have a sibling around. Is it annoying? Is it wholesome? Or both? The TikTok video of @lonnieiiv has the answers to your questions. In the video, a girl is seen asking her friends what it's like having siblings as they give her a crash course on it, after which she sure doesn't want to have any siblings. One friend can be seen putting his fingers into her drink and sprinkling it on her, then the other mixes her food and uses her chopsticks to play music on her bowl and throws food on her.
Then they eat her food, put some food on her chopstick with their hand and start throwing things at her. A friend sitting next to her says, "Why are you touching me?" A little while later, he tells her, "Mom hates you!" It concludes with a friend telling her to "grow up." The whole experience had so many emotions that by the end of it, the woman looked too shocked to say anything.
