The woman had to get to work but found around 10-15 of her teen neighbor's friends' trucks blocking her driveway.
Every housing area has its own set of restrictions and rules that residents need to follow and cooperate with. Such rules are established for the welfare of all residents and everyone needs to make adjustments for the same. Therefore, when a woman who goes by u/carbonlandrover on Reddit encountered a rude and ignorant teen neighbor who refused to play by the rules, she had a fitting response to render. In her post, the woman explained that she was on duty on the night of the incident and required to be prompt when she was called. “Tonight I’m on call for Virginia State Police towing rotation, which means I’ve got 25 minutes to get to wherever the wreck/DUI/impound/etc is,” she wrote.
Unfortunately, her teen neighbor was hosting a party and had around 25-30 cars blocking the driveway. “I noticed a few cars coming in early this evening and walked over to my neighbors and made it pretty clear I was on call and as long as they didn't block the road or my driveway, all would be good,” the woman revealed. As expected, she received a call from her boss about some work and set about getting ready to leave at around 12.30 am. “I get in my car and as I'm backing out of the driveway, I notice I'm blocked in. I don't mean by one truck, but by nearly 15 different vehicles,” she wrote.
The woman calmly went over to the neighbor’s house and made her way through “a crowd of drunk teenagers.” She managed to find her neighbor and asked her to move the cars. “She says in a normal tone (doesn’t yell over the music) into the house, ‘Whoever’s blocking the driveway next door move your trucks,’ then slams the door in my face,” she recalled. Upon knocking again and trying to get the problem sorted, the woman only received a harsh reply. “I knock again and she answers with a drunken, ‘Oh gosh, this b**h again?’” As mad as the woman was, she still tried to explain her situation and only received verbal abuse in return. “As I’m walking away, macho man throws a beer at me and cackles, ‘Yeah, you best leave, go on, git!’” This was the last straw for the woman and she decided to teach the rude teens a fitting lesson.
“I get on the phone with dispatch and call for as many trucks as we have available tonight (about ten) and tell them to come over. Mommas got some PPIs (private property impounds),” the woman wrote. She even called police dispatch and asked for an officer in case things got messy. After towing most of the cars, the woman noticed the last 2-3 owners trying to save their vehicles. “The civic owner bolts to his car and takes off. The Silverado girl (pretty wasted) gets stuck and starts tearing up my property,” the woman wrote. "Officer walks over and she throws a fit. Long story short, she gets arrested for underage drinking and DUI. The Ford owner doesn't show up."
The woman ensured the teens paid back in full for their unacceptable behavior. She added that they would have to pay an extended fee since their vehicles would remain in storage as the following day was off. “It's going to be the regular $289.50 plus two days of storage at $55 a day and a $100 gate fee. I made a note in every single storage sheet (papers that the vehicle owners get) to thank the girl who had the party for getting towed,” the woman added. "There are signs on my road saying no parking, and not to block the driveway. Don't piss off a tow truck driver, she'll legally take your vehicles."
Fellow Reddit users found the teens' punishment quite fitting. u/theMellowestYellow wrote, “She asked for it, in my opinion.” u/user added, “You gotta be pretty stupid to block the driveway of a tow truck driver.”
