'Now that is how you take your power back'

More often than not, when a familiar name flashes across a livestream comment section, it sparks a warm wave of nostalgia and wholesome catch-up. However, during a tarot session, TikTok creator Darci (@darci.duxbury) felt a wave of dread when a man named Jamie suddenly appeared, bringing back memories of past bullying. But rather than freezing or keeping the peace, she took matters into her own hands and delivered a brutal one-liner. She later posted the snippet of this interaction on July 24, 2026, which has garnered over 1.1 million views since.

At first, Darci didn't recognize the man, questioning, "Jamie who?" However, her heart sank when she realized he was her high school classmate. This revelation brought back painful memories of being bullied as a child. Darci struggled with the shock of encountering him, knowing he was someone who had "low-key" bullied her years ago. It put her at a critical crossroads as she wondered whether to be polite to avoid any drama or confront the man about his past actions.

She continued to think about how to approach the situation while shuffling her deck. "Should I just be nice and ignore it or actually tell him to f**k off this time?" she thought. Ultimately, she chose to get her 15-year-old self justice and pulled an impromptu card from her deck. Holding up an illustration of a Raven against an orange moon, she told the man what a terrible person he was. Darci then proceeded to say to him, "I don't like you," before clapping her hands with a cathartic laugh. Then she further confronted him by saying that it was actually what the reading said: "You were a horrible c*nt when I was friends with you."

However, Darci didn't stop at that. Refusing to give Jamie any opportunity to derail her livestream, she moved swiftly to reclaim her space. Without any hesitation or second thought, she declared, "Anyways, I'll be blocking you now." Her boyfriend showed her support from off the screen, knowing she's struggled because of this in the past.

Although bullying has been in a downward spiral for the last decade or so, it is still very much happening all across the United States. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, about 19% of students aged 12 to 18 report being bullied at school. Out of these, 22% have confirmed that they were bullied online or through text. Moreover, the research reveals that being subject to rumors and being made fun of are the most common types of bullying, with both accounting for 13% and 12% of cases out of the total, respectively.

Keeping that in mind, people were truly impressed by how well Darci handled her reunion with her bully. @iamshe101982 commented, "Now that is how you take your power back." Meanwhile, @squishikitti wrote, "The trauma bullying does to you stays with you. Well done, queen. I bet your heart was racing." Additionally, @apiscesbabe.x suggested, "From when she was 15, yea coz it is that serious...when people bully you...it definitely affects you even when you're older."
