The woman shared a wholesome video in which she surprised her parents with an unexpected gift and they loved it.
Parents usually do not expect anything in return for what they do for their children. However, considerate kids, who have seen their parents struggle and work hard, always dream of giving back to them in some way or the other. That's exactly what Zoya Biglary did for her parents. Biglary–who goes by @thezoyaroya on TikTok–shared a wholesome video in which she surprised her parents with first-class tickets.
The video begins with Biglary sitting in a car and looking at the camera and the text overlay reads, "One day, I'll surprise my immigrant parents with business class flights." Next, she is seen with her parents and brother and asks them to go to their first-class seats. Her mother, surprised, asks, "Really?" and the content creator replies, "Yes." While they begin to walk towards their seat, her mom, still shocked, says, "No way! Oh my God!" The mom also informs her husband that they have seats in the first class and Biglary's father says, "Are you serious?" After they reach their seats, the mom tells her daughter, "This is the best surprise!" and kisses her daughter.
Later, the family is seen enjoying their drinks together, sleeping in their seats and having food. At one point, the mother-daughter give each other a high five and hold hands. They seemed to have made the most of their first-class experience. It sure was a surprise that Biglary's parents enjoyed to the fullest. The video caption gave some more background into the surprise. She wrote, "My parents immigrated to the US from Iran with nothing. They sacrificed so much to create a safe, beautiful life for my brother and me. I always dreamt of doing something like this. Thank you to all of you who follow my content. A lot of my dreams have come true recently and I am endlessly grateful."
The video garnered 3.5 million views on TikTok. People in the comments felt inspired by it. @hookem commented, "Daughter of immigrant parents here - it’s an indescribable feeling being able to do things like this for our parents." @mkhattaie wrote, "As a daughter of Persian immigrants, thank you for the reminder to work harder so I can do this for my parents one day." @fromalexwithlove_ expressed, "As an immigrant daughter, born and raised in Germany, I‘m crying right now. Wish you and your family nothing but the best in life." @kayleighzann shared, "I'm actually tearing up right now because this has always been one of my goals. You're absolutely amazing, girl! Congratulations on your hard work."
In an interview with Newsweek, Biglary said that she bought the tickets after she started making an income from her full-time work as a content creator. She said, "As the oldest daughter of immigrants, I've always felt a responsibility to 'give back' to my parents who have sacrificed so much for us. The last flight we took as a family in 2019, I distinctly remember sitting in economy and looking at first class and thinking, one day I'll buy us all first-class seats, which was a wild dream because I didn't have much money saved up at the time."
While talking about the flight, she said it was a 12-hour flight and that it was incredible to enjoy that level of comfort. "At the end of the day, I just want to give my family the same comfort that they've given me all my life," she revealed. Her parents emigrated from Iran in the early 1980s and arrived in the US without any possession or knowledge of the language. She shared, "They worked hard and faced discrimination for so many years to make sure my little brother and I could grow up in a safe, opportunity-filled country."
She called her parents "extra special." She also spoke about her relationship with her partner, Alix Traeger. As a gay woman, she said that her family took some time to accept her relationship. "This is unfortunately very rare in Middle Eastern families and my followers around the world always love seeing my supportive parents in videos. So, in my opinion, they deserve a lot more than just first-class flights, but it's a good start," Biglary said.
