It was not just the wicked remark that got her retaliating, but it was the fact that the remark came from another woman.

Finding the right person to spend the rest of our lives with is quite challenging. Sometimes, life throws a curveball at us and we are bound to learn from our mistakes and bad decisions. All that matters is how we get over it and find the right path in life and relationships. Anna Kai—who goes by @maybeboth on Instagram—set an example by giving a hilarious yet sassy comeback to the person who demeaned her for being in many relationships before getting married. This well-received video gained nearly 9 million views and people hyped Kai up for sending out such a powerful message.

Kai was casually doing her make-up while talking about the time when a woman called her "ran-through." The influencer mentioned that the mean woman also said that "her exes were all men who were too good for her," and that Kai finally got married just because she "met a man who was willing to lower his standards and accept her baggage." What drove Kai up the wall was that, in this situation, it was a woman demeaning another woman. "I just have to say that not all misogynists are men. Sometimes, they're women," she said. Kai then began revealing what would've happened if she had settled for the men she dated earlier rather than waiting out.

"If I hadn't been dumped by the man I was dating when I was 24, I'd be married to an alcoholic who didn't understand that no meant no when he was drunk," said Kai sharing a bad experience from her past. She added, "If I hadn't been dumped by the guy I was dating when I was in college, I would have had to convert to a religion I didn't know anything about and moved to a different country." Also, she shared about the time when she used to date a man with whom she fell in love at first sight when she was 25 years old. Turns out, he was involved in one of the biggest media scandals and so Kai had escaped a life of turmoil.

Kai wanted to emphasize that it was not her intention to choose the wrong men to date or to mess up the relationships. "None of us go through dating in our 20s without being both the hero and the villain," she added. "But if all the above men were too good for me, then I don't want to be good." She sent out a powerful message saying, "If I am ran-through, it's only because I did a lot of running to find out who it is I want to be with and what I won't settle for." Kai addressed the woman who demeaned her saying, "If you're with a man who is only with you because your number of previous partners doesn't threaten his fragile sense of masculinity, then maybe you're the one with a man whose standard of himself isn't high enough to be with a woman like me."

People in the comments, particularly women, loved Kai's attitude towards criticism. "A lot of misogynists are women and it’s sad. I hope women educate themselves and support women at all costs. You ate by the way," wrote @anishasaha_. "Some women just don’t realize the chokehold the patriarchy has on them," commented @gemma_talks. "All the women who didn't find a diamond on their first try, deserve all the respect for surviving and getting back up and trying again," wrote @yiotas_barbies.
