The ability to understand and compromise is not everyone's cup of tea. Some people deliberately want to question every policy and principle made to give comfort to others. u/QuailPuzzled1286 came across a woman who questioned the support given to her by a shopping outlet for being an expectant mom. But thankfully, humanity is still alive as she had many people come to the spot to back her up.

The woman needed to make a run to a nearby grocery store. Being 7 months pregnant, she thought she would use one of the reserved spaces set aside in several Loblaws outlets for expectant mothers. These spaces are reserved for pregnant individuals because they are closer to the door and ensure minimum walking to reach the establishment. Unfortunately, she was unable to get the spot, not because it was already filled by another expecting person, but because a woman parked her car in the reserved space, without acknowledging the posters and signs.

She was following a Lexus to get to the particular parking spot and suddenly realized that the very Lexus had taken her desired spot. She initially thought that it must be another pregnant woman or someone with a child and parked 4 to 5 spots down. To her surprise, the person who came out of the Lexus was a woman in her 60s. At first, the Redditor wanted to go about her day and not be bothered by the whole thing but got irked when the lady mocked her while laughing and saying, “Oh! I’m so sorry I didn’t realize."

Even though she usually tries to avoid such people, that day it took a toll on her and she snapped at the lady, "You’re obviously not that sorry since you parked in a spot you shouldn’t have!” This clearly angered the lady as she did not expect any response let alone one that criticized her actions. She took a threatening stance and went near the pregnant woman, and screamed at the top of her voice, "F**k you, you’re not entitled to this spot." This comment took the woman off guard, and in her vulnerable state, she began crying.

The story doesn't end with the lady getting her way and humiliating the mom-to-be. Various people approached them and after hearing the whole matter, sided with the pregnant woman. They all called the lady inconsiderate, who became so ashamed that she had to get into the car and drive off. She ended the post by sharing with other netizens how she does not understand why is it so hard for people to acknowledge and apologize for their horrible behavior. She believes that it gives them a chance for growth, but shockingly, most people actively try to not go down that path.

The comment section was on the expecting mother's side and understood her sentiments. u/Wynndee expressed their views on how humans function now in terms of owning their mistakes, "People don't apologize when they are obviously in the wrong anymore, they double down and make it somehow your fault, people have no accountability anymore at all." u/BigMax shared their own views as to why the woman behave in this manner, "She wanted you to say 'oh, no, don't worry about it, it's ok' and make her feel better about her selfishness. Then she could go into the store having been given a free pass for being entitled. But you correctly called her out, and she didn't like that."
