Woman shares wholesome video of grandpa showing off his red fancy car that he built from scratch

Most people have certain things that they cherish as prized possessions throughout their lives. It could have a special memory attached to it or might have been gifted by a special person. In other cases, it could be something that represents an accomplishment the person has. However, in a 95-year-old grandpa's case, it is a red car that he built from scratch and was now going to show to his granddaughter. The woman, Kristi Johnson, who goes by @kristidjohnson on TikTok, took to the platform to share the moment.

"When your 95-year-old grandpa tells you to come over because he is ready to tell you all about how he built his fancy red car," the text overlay of the video read as the grandpa got ready to raise the shutter from the garage and revealed his stunning red car to the world. With a little help from his granddaughter, the man opened the garage and took out his fancy red car to explain everything to her in detail while the great grandaughter filmed the video. The man made the car all by himself and not with a kit or anything else like that. "He built it piece by piece and couldn't wait to tell me about it, but he wanted to wait for the perfect time," the woman expressed.

The man had never been filmed talking about his car before that moment and was really excited to talk about it. "He's so proud of his car and so excited to share it," the woman went on. She revealed, "Grandpa didn't go to college till his 30s and then graduated medical college at 41 and was poor his whole life before that." The mom added, "He has enjoyed collecting many toys since then but this red car might be his pride and joy." In the video, the woman also showed one of the many houses that her grandfather renovated and the boat that the 95-year-old still takes out to the lake as the old man talked about the car.

People took to the comments section of the clip to appreciate the grandpa's work.
