When someone treats their partner well, they also simultaneously push their partner to treat them well and this story is proof of it.
Relationships are a lot like a game of table tennis: the better your shot, the better the whole gaming experience can be. When one person in a relationship puts effort to show kindness and go the extra mile for their partner, then their actions are bound to be reciprocated. In a video posted by Kayla—who goes by @lifeofbbaker on TikTok—she talks about a day in her life and what her husband does for her, which helps her become a better wife.
In the video, Kayla mentions three core things that her husband does that push her to become a good wife to him. She begins the video by telling her viewers how her husband texts her on his break when he's working outside in zero-degree temperatures all day, just to ask how her day is going. When she mentions how cold it is outside all he says is, "Yeah, it is baby, you guys stay in. Stay warm." He also promises that he will help her with the household chores when he returns after traveling for two hours. The first thing he does for her is that he encourages her to relax and offers to take care of the household duties.
Kayla first says that when she texts her husband to ask about how the roads were without any context, her husband understands things that she not only said but even thought. While Kayla didn't mention it, the husband remembered that it was a Monday, and on Mondays, Kayla would generally order and pick up groceries. So when asked about how the roads were, all he says is, "Baby, they just weren't great. There is no reason you should be driving on them." He further offers and adds, "Why don't I just pick up groceries on my way home?" However, the thing is, groceries were never on his way home and it was a 25-minute detour. The second thing he does is go out of his way to get groceries so that Kayla doesn't have to be on bad roads.
The third thing that her husband does for his is that he anticipates her needs and works to make life easier for her. For context, Kayla talks about how every day after work, her husband calls her to ask her how her day went. When she tells him that for no reason at all, she's feeling too tired, her husband comes up with a smile on his face and a box of pizza in his hand and says, "Baby, I don't want you to have to worry about cooking dinner and cleaning up tonight." Kayla explains that while a lot of people on her video comment about how she's a really good wife, she believes that the truth is that she married a good man, one who doesn't wait for big days for big gestures but simply does what he can daily.
Kayla's video went viral, garnering over 2 million views and nearly 340K likes. People in the comments shared their thoughts about the same. @crazykelly55140 said, "As a 41-year-old man and married for 15 years and does the same thing for my wife, I must comment. It's the way you make us feel in the marriage that makes us want to do it." @kenzilynn43 shared Kayla's emotions and exclaimed, "This is exactly how my marriage is as well. We are lucky when we find the winners."
