The job of a nanny has always been a debatable topic because of its perks and downsides. Many often wonder what it's like to do this particular job. Well, if you've also pondered upon this thought or you want to know what's the lifestyle of a nanny, especially for the children of a wealthy family, you're about to find out. In a TikTok video posted by a nanny named Callie (@calliecharming), she reveals the parks of working for a wealthy family and addresses the curiosities of many who want to know what it’s like to work for the rich.

Callie began her video with the main question about who pays for it all. She answered that her employers pay for everything and she also has their credit card. She further shared, “Hampton and I will go meet a nanny friend for breakfast? They pay for it. Starbucks? They pay for it. That includes the car and the gas. I don’t use my car. I use their car. They have a specific car for me.”

Talking about money, she answered how much she gets paid. She revealed that she earns around $30 to $35 an hour but that also depends on the number of kids she’s in charge of in that hour. According to TODAY, in 2022 the national average rate of babysitting ranged anywhere between $20.57 for one child and $23.25 for two kids. This puts Callie’s charges in perspective as a nanny for the rich.

On a weird note, Callie addressed a non-nanny-related question about her clothes. She said, “Another question, which is kind of a weird question, is why do I wear s**t clothes?” Keeping her calm on the prejudiced question, she gave it back saying that by the time she gets done with a TikTok video, she’s “destroyed from the day” and if anyone has been around a “frickin’ child” they should know that “you get dirty, you get beat up”.

On the question of TikTok and her viral videos, she answered that her employers know and they don’t care about her posting videos on TikTok. The final question that Callie answered was one about the laundry fairy. On popular demand of all those who wondered who the laundry fairy is, Callie said, “Laundry fairy – her name is Jackie. And it’s a service that you can get for somebody to come do your laundry and put it all away. It’s amazing.”

I’m now with my third family in 8 years... it’s the best job ever.” Describing her own experience along the same lines user @specialeducationlaw commented, “I tutored for a really wealthy family. They provided me with my own office, a smart board, and gave me breakfast every morning when I got there.” From the looks of the comments section on Callie’s post, it appears the revelations blew people's minds.
