Losing a loved one is never an easy thing, especially when one is grieving the life they could have lived and all the memories and experiences that could have happened if they had more time with the person. However, people might find comfort in the good things they had with that person in their life or the special things they got to do. A sister shared a similar memory of her brother with his hospice nurses before he died. The woman, Marcella Brown—who goes by @mawsee on Instagram—took to the platform to share the heartwarming video.

"8 days before my brother died, he asked the hospice staff if they had time to take him for a walk," the text overlay read. "They did." In the video, the staff took the man in a wheelchair out on a walk. While one of the nurses pushed the wheelchair, the other one led the way while rapping "It Was a Good Day" by Ice Cube before they finally reached outside. The man looked quite excited as he bobbed his head along with the rap all the way outside while the person behind the camera simply couldn't stop laughing because of the wholesome moment. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the moment as the man got out to get some fresh air.

The sister captioned the post, "I'm forever thankful for all the hospice workers who did everything they could to make every day a good day." In an interview with Good Morning America, Brown expressed that she shared the video because she was feeling sad thinking about her late brother, who died in August 2022 after being diagnosed with appendix cancer in January of the same year. "The video came up, and it just made me feel happy, and it just reminded me that towards the end of his life, like there were these little moments that were good," the woman recounted. She recollected how her brother didn't like staying inside his room at all times, so she, her sister, and the brother's wife kept him company.

"One of the [nurses] asked if he wanted to go on a walk that day, and he just looked at the nurses, and he was like, 'Do you guys have time?' But he also really loved the nurses who took him on the walk that day. Like he loved them so much, so it was special that they had the time and that they did that and made it so special for him," the sister explained. "Those nurses, you know, they have a really tough job, and they just made sure that my brother felt love and care and humor all the way to the end. I think it's really important to remember that there's good in the world, and there are good people in the world," she expressed. People took to the comments to appreciate the wholesome moment.

But then again, I would probably be bawling my eyes out. This was too sweet!" @lakotamom remarked, "I'm so proud of you for sharing your brother's story! Such a powerful testament and inspiring to always live life with intention and love."
