Every relationship is unique and special. However, it is crucial to understand whether the relationship is healthy for the people in it. Many factors, such as trust, mutual respect, communication and comfort can determine if it is healthy. Moreover, it is important to be aware of how the other person makes you feel. One TikTok user simplifies for us what a healthy relationship looks like. Her insight is meant to assist us in determining whether the person we are in a relationship with is right for us and whether the partnership is compatible. Lola Kolade (@lolaokola) posted on TikTok a video clip captioned, "Being a clown in a healthy relationship," and gained 3.2 million views.

Lola says, "The real tea is that healthy relationships actually draw out the corniest, wackest, most uncool version of yourself because that means you feel safe." She further says that if you can meet someone who allows you to be your most authentic self and doesn't judge you for the various aspects of your personality, you have found your person and your relationship is at its healthiest. "If you meet someone that makes you feel like you can embrace your true, goofy, Ronald McDonald self, you won," she says.

Lola's opinion on what makes a relationship long-lasting and healthy is that your partner should give you the space to show genuine and, at times, silly sides of your personality. In a healthy relationship, both partners accept the other for who they are, flaws and all. There is no pressure to conform to societal norms or unrealistic expectations; instead, there is genuine appreciation for each other's uniqueness as well as a sense of emotional safety and deeper connections.

Many viewers embraced this and shared how their healthy relationship does, in fact, involve accepting silly sides of each other. "Yea, listening to me and my bf would make me sick if we weren't so in love," commented @user1747834118469. "Me and my boyfriend are so so cringe in the privacy of our home if I was a stranger and saw us like that, I'd be so concerned," shared @jade. "Truly, I feel like I'm not masking for the first time in my entire life," wrote @sar. "Yes, omg. The way I talk with him vs who I am in public is wild. Who is she? In love," added @Archie. If you also find yourself in a healthy relationship like this, congratulations! And don't let it go easily.

Lola previously made the headlines for embracing the 'rat girl summer' trend with a 'rodent energy' instead of 'hot girl summer.' The previous 'hot girl summer' trend was fun, but it took a lot of planning, getting the perfect outfits, and having elaborate skincare routines just to snap a single picture or film a video for social media. To follow the 'rat girl summer' trend, simply be more carefree and step outside your bubble to live life to the fullest. Lola coined the term because she believes in spending her summer like a rodent.
