Woman shares how co-passenger didn't let her recline the seat on 10-hour flight, sparks debate

People travel to get their minds off of their daily routines and to get some adventure and excitement in their lives. But sometimes, travel tends to become arduous when one's co-passengers make things unnecessarily difficult. This experience can become especially aggravating when one is stuck with a difficult co-passenger on long flights. Such an incident can ruin one's journey. Taylor—who goes by @tfutchh on TikTok—who often goes on solo trips around the world, had a bad experience one time while flying home.

She posted a video with a text overlay reading revealing how the girl sitting behind her shoved her seat forward when she decided to recline it. Taylor's flight was for 10 hours and she found it absurd that she could not recline for the entire duration of the flight because of the girl's fussy behavior. The woman felt confused about the situation and asked her viewers how to handle the situation. People sided with the woman and shared their opinions in the comments section.

Taylor decided to reply to @joy.co11, who strongly suggested that she recline her seat in a follow-up video. Taylor starts the video by sharing the basic details of the seating issue on her flight. She says, "So basically, we're up in the air, this girl and her boyfriend are behind me and her mom is talking. And I'm like, 'Alright, it's a safe altitude, I can put my seat back.'" As soon as Taylor reclined her seat, the girl sitting behind her shoved it forward.

She also shared how she was on anxiety medicine and had quite a bit of wine, which made the entire ordeal quite frustrating for her. The girl's mother reasoned that Taylor reclining her seat made it uncomfortable for the girl because then the space became too small for her. However, Taylor thought that she could recline her seat being on a long 10-hour flight. She had been flying all day and this was the final flight before she reached home.

Taylor called the flight attendant to resolve the issue, but she just rolled her eyes at her. So, she decided that she wouldn't back down and kept pushing her seat back throughout the flight even though the girl kept pushing it forward. Taylor said, "I think that you should be able to recline your seat on a 10-hour flight." If the girl behind her wanted more comfort, she would have to opt for first-class tickets. She concluded the video, stating, "But babe, like everyone's doing it, I'm gonna do it."
