Woman shares hilariously wholesome birthday outfit her dad purchased for her

Those who follow rapidly changing trends spend a great amount of time picking up clothes at any store. And when it comes to women, they hardly trust others' choices while selecting an outfit, be it for any occasion. This point was hilariously highlighted by @samclardy who shared a clip displaying the shopping haul done by her father on the occasion of her 25th birthday. After taking one look at the viral video of Sam, we can collectively agree that her dad's choice might not have been that great but it is the gesture that counts.

"If you’re ever wondering whether a man should buy a girl clothes, specifically, a father for a daughter, with absolutely no help. I would suggest not," she hilariously advises her viewers at the beginning of the video, which has garnered over one million views so far. The caption of the video reads: "My therapist will be hearing about this." It soon becomes clear why she would be needing a session with her therapist after trying on the outfits purchased by her dad.

The clothes might not be too bad in terms of fashion but they are a perfect fit for a teenager instead of a 25-year-old. "My dad decided for my birthday that he wanted to get me some clothes. He’s over what my generation wears," Sam said. "I’m like, okay Dad, knock yourself out. This man decides to go on Facebook, and this is what he gets." The blue blouse she first shows off has leaf motifs on it and she wears it with a pair of matching blue pants.  

Sam moves away from the camera to twirl around and show the audience a 360-degree view of her birthday outfit her father has thoughtfully purchased for her. The second outfit is a tad bit tacky in the opinion of netizens in the comment section. This t-shirt has an American flag printed on it which Sam wears with a pair of red capri pants. The whole ensemble looks like it belongs to the kind of fashion trend which was relevant for girls at least a decade ago but it isn't anymore.

Fellow TikTok users couldn't help but express their thoughts on this disastrous yet oddly sweet purchase by Sam's dad in the comments section. @melissa_katelynn wrote: "POV: my mom watching this saying what's wrong with it? I don't understand." @user00073229 remarked: "Okay, so like they definitely aren’t in style but they fit you very well." @amandaisahuman jokingly suggested: "Protect him at all costs, and also show him a Pinterest board for next time."

In a follow-up video on public demand, Sam revealed her dad's face. Funnily enough, his dad exactly looked the way viewers expected him to look. "May I introduce you to, Ross the Boss. The man behind the shants. The king of all kings," Sam captioned her TikTok post. His goofy dad looked extremely "British," according to many viewers and he can be seen wearing knee-length American flag socks with a shirt that has a bald eagle printed on it and a message that read: "God Bless America." But the dad's earnest gift deserved all the appreciation and love even though it did not win over the fashion police on the internet.
