Calling it an effective trick, the woman demonstrated how to send chills down the spine of creepy men.
As much as women love to embrace an independent life, they are often forced to worry about creepy stalkers. It looks like the best way to repel unwanted male attention would be to be equally "creepy." There may be many serious safety tricks on the internet to escape such situations, but a little fun version wouldn't hurt. Yes, Shauna Dewit, a comedy content creator—who goes by @shaunadewit on TikTok—has found a hilarious trick to chase away creepy men who stalk or catcall women on the streets. She demonstrates the simple four-word phrase that would send such men running for the hills and the internet couldn't agree more.
In the 12-second video, Dewit could be seen walking on the street, which was not very crowded. As she was filming herself talking about something, she was interrupted by a Spanish man who said, "Hola chica." While Dewit slowed down, the man repeated, "Hola" and she doubtfully reciprocated his greetings. But the man's behavior got pretty creepy as he looked at her up and down and weirdly stared at her. "I have to think of something quick," she told herself. So, she put on her spooky smile and asked him, "You can see me? You can see me?" Her eerie voice and crazy expressions were enough to chase away the man, but her iconic devilish laugh was the icing on the cake.
It turns out Dewit's next-level craziness was "really effective" in chasing away the guy. This video garnered nearly 2 million views in just 3 days and people were totally amused by Dewit's trick. "The fact that they won't back off if we don't start acting crazy," said @._m_m_m_._. "I need to learn how to do that laugh. It sounds insane, but still cutesy," mentioned @bettybeepbopboop. "The laugh! This belongs on the big screen in horror movies! He's going to hear that for the rest of his life!" chimed in @thebeanshape. "The way you asked and laughed was really the trick," added @razavia46.

On a similar note, another woman shared how to use body language to deal with creepy men in unsafe situations and every woman needs to know this. In a since-deleted video, @mags_a_million on TikTok revealed how to tackle fear and confidently deal with unwanted male attention. "Body language is your number one weapon in situations like this. The other day, I talked about how to hold a knife, but I don't want it to even get to that point," she explained in the video.
She believes that using one's body language could be the easiest way to drive away stalkers/attackers because they always choose lonely and docile targets. The woman then demonstrates how one shouldn't use their phone but look at the creepy person with a daring stare. "You can't 'think' the fear, or else they can smell it. So you've got to go, 'Hey, try it. I've got a whole army of people that will come get you if you even try it.' It changes the whole dynamic," she mentioned.
