The challenge, which made the family members remember their old days, made the internet laugh out loud.
Family get-togethers are always fun. No matter how many friends and acquaintances one makes as life goes on, there are no other bunch of people you can be as comfortable with as you're with your family - because they get all parts of you. They've seen you grow as you have seen them, and there is no scope or space for any awkwardness in any way. That's why, you can be your crazy selves with family. In a video posted on Instagram by Kendall Azevedo (@kendallsmith904), it is evident how she makes her whole family do something hilarious for a video.
The video begins with Smith panning the camera across the room to show everyone's faces while everyone smiles and waves hello to the camera. She then says, "Okay, let's do it!" After that, the video shows an older gentleman wearing white shorts and a blue t-shirt with a cap who seems to be drinking something. Smith asks him, "Okay, so do you remember how to skip?" To that, the man confidently says that he does. So naturally, Smith asks to see the same. The man puts his drink aside on a round table, and well - he skips! Or rather, he tries to do something that vaguely resembles skipping, which results in the whole room laughing out loud. Next up, another gentleman in a grey tee and black shorts gives skipping a shot, and let us say it like it was - he didn't skip. However, he did cause a lot of laughs for his family so that's a great man right there.
The next man was the funniest of them all because he was glitching. It was as if he was being played and paused like in a video game, because for the life of God - he couldn't remember how to skip. He ended up walking like a horse instead, which resulted in an uproar and lots of claps. The next woman, wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt with shorts was the stunner of the night. She skipped like that's how she had been reaching places all these years. She skipped like she practiced every night before sleep and honestly, it was super adorable. The next woman started to skip only to realize that she was bouncing way too much, and her futile attempt to grab herself to stop the bouncing only messed up her skipping and resulted in tremendous laughter across the room.
The next man who tried to skip had the confidence of a professional 5-year-old girl skipping home after school, but what he did, in reality, was - run across the room like a horse. It was hilarious. Walking in his footsteps, the next man too did something between horsewalk and skipping - or he probably just walked fast. Either way, laughter ensued. The next woman who was wearing a white jacket was the ultimate winner. She skipped like she was a 5-year-old with no care in the world, with flailing arms and a big smile on her face. The man that followed her was a young fellow who wasn't all the bad either - one of the better skippers in the family.
As Smith said in the caption, it was indeed safe to say that most of her family did forget how to skip. One user, @harlemworld.jpg, laid their heart out and said, "Skipping is the superior mode of leg travel. It doesn't gas you out nearly as much as running and you're moving much faster than walking." They added a sentiment that most people would agree with and said, "If it were socially acceptable to skip everywhere, I would."
