The realtor posted a touching note that an elderly couple wrote for the new buyers and it left people on the internet emotional.
Writing heartwarming notes to someone, especially strangers really shows how kind someone is. In this case, it is an elderly couple who made the sweet gesture. Melissa Douglas, a realtor—who goes by @melissadouglasrealtor on TikTok—shared a touching note that an elderly couple wrote for the new home buyers, which left people on the internet emotional.
The video begins with Douglas holding a note in her hand, which reads, "May this new home bring you as much joy and love as it did for us and our family. - Al and Lois." She turned the note around and there was the picture of an elderly couple posing in front of their house. After this, she panned the camera to show the house, which was the same. The post was captioned, "This final walkthrough has me in my feels. I love my job."
People in the comments were quite emotional after seeing the note and the picture. @msmollykay wrote, "Stop, I did cry and keep that framed in my home forever." @scoutandrangersmom commented, "The new owners should take the same picture in front of the house and when they move one day, give the new owner both pictures!" @megsza shared, "We just bought a house and they built the house and left a slide of pictures from the construction of the home. Also, a binder with neighbor phone numbers, appliance manuals, etc.
I was stunned." @user5202308278719 expressed, "Sobbing. Look how big the trees grew." @el_ _lo said, "Saving this for when the time comes to sell our family home, what a beautiful way to document personal histories." Douglas told Newsweek that it was sweet and kind of the couple to leave a note for the new buyers. Moreover, the buyers felt the same way and were "happy they have a house filled with so much love to grow their family in." She added that she doesn't see such kind gestures often, but it was "sweet and special" when she gets to.

In another story, a waitress shared a heartfelt moment that she experienced at work. Megan King, a waitress at Perkins Restaurant and Bakey, was serving her customers when she helped an older woman who had gone through a loss feel better. King shared what happened, "This older woman came in on a busy Sunday, and about halfway through her meal, it started to slow down. We chatted for a few minutes. Small talk, nothing too deep." The woman then told King it had been a while since she had last gone out to eat. The waitress added, "She was very low maintenance, and she left just as quietly as came. When it came time to bus her table, I was surprised that she'd left a note."
King was surprised when she realized the woman had left a handwritten note and a small tip. The note read, "Thank you very much for your kind service. This was my first time eating out alone since my husband passed. I was hoping I could get through it." King was moved after she got to know that the elderly woman had lost her husband. "I had to use the restroom to get myself together enough to tend to my other tables even though I really didn't have time to take a rest," said the waitress.
