The woman said she was shopping at Walmart when she impulsively decided to ask for an interview at the store.
Getting an interview with a company is not always easy. Candidates usually find themselves calling the place multiple times to check if they've been shortlisted or write many emails to HR. But one woman has an interesting hack to get walk-in interviews. Valerie Louis–who goes by @iiaamrii on TikTok–shared a video revealing how she got an interview on the spot at Walmart. People in the comments shared that they tried the hack and it worked for them too.
In the 9-second video, Louis walks into a Walmart store wearing a black T-shirt and pants. The text overlay reads, "How many aura points did I lose when I walked into Walmart asking to speak to the hiring manager to say I have an interview when I literally just applied in the parking lot." The "auro points" is a reference to a trend on TikTok, where people share something embarrassing, humbling or desperate they did and ask how many aura points they lost, according to DailyDot.
She wrote in the caption, "This is what Wayne meant when he said let it all work out for real." She also clarified that she changed her outfit for the interview. "I know it's not professional, especially the slides. I went in asking a question and the hiring manager already got off work." The video garnered over two million views on the platform. @_pradaa.ko commented, "I did this! They had the whole Walmart looking for who scheduled my interview. I was weak." @dariusparker75 wrote, "I did this and got hired the same day."
@kajaranae shared, "I used to call and say, 'Oh, I had a missed call and a voicemail from one of the managers about scheduling an interview, but I didn't catch the name. It wasn't clear' and that worked for me." @courtney_003 said, "I'm about to start doing this because there's no reason I've been applying to jobs since late last year and still haven't gotten hired. Yes, I call at least five times and they always say the same thing." @viviansaldana6 wrote, "I did this once and luckily, they had the interview orientation going at that moment and I got hired."

In a follow-up video, Louis shared that she called Walmart and since they said that the hiring manager had called out sick, she would be going back the next day. She also wrote, "I was genuinely shopping and had the impulsive thought to just walk in, the whole time he wasn't there. I said on the video that I was going in saying I have an interview, so they don't just send me home. Let it all work out. Also, interviews are never on the same day you walk in unless the employer really needs that." In another video, she said that the hiring manager printed her application, went through it and said that she was a good fit and he would let her know in two to three days.
