Woman shares all the ways her wheelchair-bound elderly neighbor helps her cope with chronic fatigue

In a world where people barely have the time to take care of themselves, some kind-hearted souls go out of their way to brighten up others' days. We may have seen many instances of people complaining about their annoying neighbors on the internet. But stories like the one shared by u/WifeOfSpock on Reddit prove that there are sweet and kind neighbors around the world too. The woman shared a heartwarming gratitude post for her elderly neighbor who is considerate enough to help her deal with her chronic fatigue. This touching post warmed many people's hearts with the hope that the world is still a beautiful place. 

Speaking about her chronic pain, the woman explained in a comment, "My chronic pain and fatigue stem from my hypermobility and physical trauma, neglect or medical ailments I experienced during childhood development." Turns out, her condition leaves her feeling exhausted all the time, which makes it too difficult for her to cook. When she was discussing her condition with her partner, her neighbor happened to hear about it and decided to do what he could to help her. "The next day, he showed up with two big bags of frozen and homemade meals, fruits, etc., and wouldn’t take no for an answer," she revealed. She also posted a picture of a bag of frozen food she received from him.

The elderly neighbor not only helps her with food but also with outdoor chores. "He also clears the garden behind our unit for my kids and waters the flowers for us. He’s electric wheelchair-bound but is out every day doing landscaping work for free, so I’ll give him cold water or coffee whenever I see him outside," she said. In return, the woman helps her neighbor deal with an annoying neighborhood bully. "I also chase away the elderly woman who tries to harass and verbally berate him over watering the plants. She runs away every time I burst out my door because she doesn’t want to deal with my loud mouth yelling at her," she added.

Moved by the neighbor's wholesome gesture, many internet users showered their love and respect on him. Speaking of kind and sweet neighbors, a 94-year-old man checking up on a sick neighbor gained traction on social media. A man who goes by @mrbobkindness on TikTok shared the Ring camera footage of how his caring neighbor, Bob, helped him when he was sick. The old man makes chicken noodle soup for his sick neighbor and personally delivers it to him. Bob also brought a treat for his dog and before leaving, ensured to check up on the sick guy again. Though the neighbor said that he was getting better, Bob was concerned that he didn't look so good. The old man's touching gesture got the internet emotional.
