Having a good partner in life is a blessing. Being with a person who functions as a team makes the tough road called life a little bit better. Unfortunately, many, especially women, do not get this blessing. Many times, women find themselves trapped in a relationship where their partners exhaust all their energy, which leads to a disastrous living state. To avoid such a scenario, it is vital that women properly analyze the personality of their partner. Nicole Michelle—who goes by @nicolemichelleofficial on TikTok—is here to help women in that pursuit. In her viral video, she talks about the quality women should seek in their partners for a better future.

In a very comfortable position, while watching reruns on TV and preparing herself for a relaxed sleep, at that time, it strikes her that this is not a common occurrence for every woman, as she says, "Ladies if you're dating, I can offer you this as a 41-year-old woman who's been married for 18 years and with her partner for 20+. If he does not let you rest, if he does not let you sleep- that is a red flag." She believes it is extremely important that a partner is invested in the well-being of their wife. It implies that they will encourage their wives to give their bodies the rest they need.

Michelle further elucidates, "That is a man who does not care about your health and well-being." Then, the woman gives her own example and states, "Anytime I need to rest, anytime I have PMS and I need extra rest during that time, whenever I am just feeling like I need to get in bed early, he is OK." Men who refuse to give their partners comfort and rest when they need it the most, as she puts it, are "narcissistic" by nature. They thrive on seeing their partner weak, which is not a good energy to have in life. This assertion by no means implies that this is the only quality to look out for in a partner. Michelle finishes by urging women to prioritize themselves.

She shares, "Your rest and your sleep are so important and anyone who takes that away from you purposefully-Run." Women suffer from conditions like insomnia, anxiety and depression because of not being able to give their bodies the rest they need, per the Sleep Foundation. Besides that, the societal regulations put the burden of domestic responsibilities on women. Men taking advantage of it creates a situation where women cannot give their bodies the break they need rather than share the burden the men, in such cases, feed into the system that keeps them in a more advantageous position.

The comment section agreed with her and shared their own experiences. @ariesbearbear went a step further in her suggestions and wrote, "And not just 'lets you rest,' but takes care of things that need to be taken care of while you rest. Rather than just shirking responsibility and letting things pile up for when you're 'done resting.'" @christymcnabby shared her own experiences and wrote, "Yeah, I didn't realize how sleep-deprived I was till I got divorced and could sleep through the night and wake up on my own!"
