It's no secret that a woman's body undergoes much more due to periods and pregnancy. However, there's no way to compensate women for that—at least, not until now. A woman’s husband pays her a monthly "woman tax" to acknowledge what her body has endured through periods, pregnancy, and two C-sections. Camilla, who goes by @camilla.and.family on TikTok, shared that it was her husband's idea and took to the platform to explain the concept to her followers.

"My husband pays woman tax," the woman said as she walked to a place to spend her "woman tax" for the month. "It's charged twice a month and works up to around 2500 pounds ($3050) per year." She added, "This tax is to compensate me for the fact that I have to have a period every single month, had two brutal pregnancies and then I had two c-sections." The idea came from her husband, who pays for her manicure and pedicure twice a month. "It costs roughly 85 ($103) pounds per time," she shared. Camilla shared that getting a manicure and pedicure makes her truly happy and helps make up for a week of bleeding.

"Women have such a hard time. I feel like men get away very easily in this life. So yeah, they should be paying women tax," she expressed. "I also feel really passionate about setting an example for my children. They should be taking care of themselves." Her daughter loves seeing the nail designs she gets each time. Afterward, the couple went shopping and met the woman's cousin and sister for a meal. "I could not stop looking at my nails," the woman revealed as she ate with her family. "I love this design so much. It was just a lovely day. I felt so refreshed and so rejuvenated." The woman had a great time with the people around her. "We laughed so much," she said.

I’m 49 with no clue about self-care as it just wasn’t a thing. My daughter is my opposite in that way and I love it. I’m learning so much from her!"

@loulou8248 commented, "My man doesn't pay woman tax (he's not in the position to right now). But he does as much (if not more) of the cooking and cleaning and treats me like a princess when on my period. We don't have kids." @zo_ey31 remarked, "My man gives me his full wages every month lol. Bills paid, kids got the things they need, I'm living good with him." @jesscarmo shared, "My man pays this and he doesn’t realize. He says I do more than he could ask and it’s the least he can do."
