Woman reveals why she won't drink water facing the other person while on a date and it's hilarious

Many people watch out for social cues if they go on a date with a new person. For instance, people tend to observe how their date behaves with folks in the service industry. However, an all-new dating rule shared by a woman on TikTok has come as a huge surprise for many people. The woman, Renee Hogan—who goes by @reneehoagss on TikTok—shared how she's made it a rule not to drink from a clear glass of water while facing her date.

"Rule on a date, don't drink your water facing them," the text overlay on a video shared by Hogan read. As the video begins, Hogan is seen sitting all-decked up at a restaurant and pouring herself water in a clear glass. She then drinks from the glass while facing the camera, demonstrating that anyone sitting opposite her could see her teeth in a distorted manner through the bottom of the glass. Many people wouldn't have noticed that such a thing happens when we drink water from a clear glass. The creator cracked up a little after revealing this detail to people. The video received over 3.2 million views and more than 283k likes.

People in the comments had a mixed response. While some people were horrified with the revelation, others felt that they would like to date a person who can at least deal with that much. @ashleighmcbabe wrote, "Of course, this popped up AFTER my last date." @goddess.komillion commented, "Nah, I’m doing it and making a face too so they see. If you want to be with me, you gotta match my playful energy!"

In another similar story, a woman received a note from a stranger at another table when her date went into the bathroom, warning her that her date had too many red flags. The person, Hadia (@Hadia__S on X), took to the internet to share the note along with the caption, "I had coffee with a guy yesterday. When he went to the bathroom, the gay guy sitting behind me passed me this note." The note read, "Too many red flags. Run. Be safe girl." "I recognized the red flags, but I wasn’t in danger, so I stayed because, of course, I had to debate him. I’m sure my guardian angel was exhausted and was like “B****, LEAVE!” the woman added.

The guy followed and admired a few controversial celebrities. The woman had a discussion about them but still couldn't see eye to eye on it. There were other things too, which Hadia didn't share so as not to reveal too much information. She later revealed that she would have seen the red flags with or without the note because they were quite obvious and evident. In the end, the woman confirmed that there would be no second date with the person in question.
