She demonstrates the hack by opening the Netflix app on her TV and accessing the search function in a different way.
With more and more households abandoning traditional cable TV and opting for streaming services, we have run into a new problem. Not being able to decide on what to watch because we have too many options. We often end up mindlessly scrolling for hours before we find something that is worth watching. Thankfully, there is a Netflix hack that individuals can utilize to quickly find what they want. Laura Lindsay—who goes by @lozlinz on TikTok—recently shared an interesting "Netflix hack for all you crime bingers."
In the video, we see the Netflix app open on Lindsay's TV. She then goes to the search option and puts in "9875." As soon as she enters the code, the app shows her every crime documentary that is available on the site. This is sure to save people a lot of time searching for a certain genre. People shared their thoughts on the useful hack in the comments section. @totalyyynottaliii said, "Thanks imma be addicted."
Netflix has an official page where they have detailed all the codes that they use to categorize different genres. Going through the site, users can find the category they are looking for and put it down in the search bar. For example, "43040" will provide action comedies while "5474" will showcase romantic comedies. While Netflix already categorizes its content to a great extent, these codes will make it easier for most people looking to find something new. These hacks also go a long way in saving one's time.
People are sharing these small hacks that make their lives easier for any online service. A few weeks back, Cyndi—who goes by @newsboozenshoes on TikTok—shared a video where she showcased a way people could save more on Amazon with coupons. She also shared the video on her Instagram. The woman begins the video saying she "unearthed" something that she had no idea existed. Cyndi commended people who knew about the hack earlier. She says, "I feel like I thought I knew almost everything about Amazon. Apparently not."
Viewers then get to see her phone screen where the woman opens up the Amazon app. She shares how she was in a specific section of the online store where people could find all the coupons. Cyndi explains how people can find how much of a discount they can get on different items from the page. As she found the page she shared that she would now spend a lot of time hunting for good deals. She hilariously says, "My husband's gonna love it."
Cyndi mentioned that she would share the link for the site in the caption but she forgot. Thankfully, @mirandas_nailcreations stepped in and said, "Since she didn't share any details. All you have to do is search "Amazon coupons" in the search bar on the app or on Google and there you go."@nurseknowitall suggested, "Always filter your search results to 'all deals' and it will show coupons for whatever you're shopping for. Also, the outlet."
