The meeting, about private company investments, was loud enough for strangers to hear.

Working with an annoying professional beside you doesn’t just ruin productivity; it disrupts the entire flow of your day and affects your mood and peace. A woman named Gracie (@graciefacelove) shared in a post on X, dated January 16, about how she dealt with an obnoxiously loud and annoying worker by giving her a taste of her own medicine. The woman refused to use headphones despite being requested, and when Gracie had enough, she responded hysterically by playing Cocomelon aloud. Wonder what her colleagues thought about adding to the noise? It’s impressively satisfying.
I asked a woman next to me at a coworking space if she could please put headphones on for a meeting and she told me no and that I should get a private office - so now I’m blasting Coco Melon and randomly repeating back full sentences of their meeting.

“I asked a woman next to me at a coworking space if she could please put headphones on for a meeting, and she told me no,” Gracie recalled. Instead, the employee was told she should “get a private office.” Poor behavior to get on a person’s nerves, and when you add disruption at work to it, boy, you’re in for trouble. She decided to respond by blasting music just like her counterpart. However, it was not just any music. “So now I’m blasting Cocomelon and randomly repeating back full sentences of their meeting,” she wittily said. Sounds petty, but it was the only language the coworker was open to.
BTW - the other people in the coworking space were into my reaction, got thumbs ups and a pound and lots of smirks/smiles.

We don’t know if the compliance worked, but the rest of the employees surely enjoyed watching, or rather hearing it unfold. In a comment, Gracie wrote, “The other people in the coworking space were into my reaction, got thumbs up and a pound and lots of smirks/smiles.” The woman clarified that the loud conversation was not just distracting but also rude. In another comment, she added, “What’s weird to me is it’s not only rude to everyone else sitting here. It’s also a privacy concern for the entire conversation. I can hear on the other end. They were talking about investments!”
A study shared by KickResume revealed that 85% of employees are forced to deal with annoying coworkers. 58% highlighted that such workers seriously impact work productivity in the office. The highest number of experiences with an annoying colleague was due to “credit stealing” at 55%. However, intrusion of personal space came at a close 30%, and this can be caused by several actions, including being obnoxiously loud within proximity. Only a few people take measures to deal with such employees by either communicating about the issue, reporting them, or distancing themselves from them. Others have to silently suffer. Sharing with Forbes, Duris emphasized the need for these issues to be addressed and fixed in due time to maintain efficiency.
You could loudly ask her if that is alcohol in her cup

This behavior warrants snitching to the owner. People like that should get their privileges revoked and their picture on a wall of shame.

“Our findings are quite concerning, so we want to highlight the importance of creating a harmonious workplace where these behaviors are addressed. This could involve diplomatically making staff aware of how their actions affect the team. Doing this will help build a more united, friendly, and efficient workplace,” he suggested. Since simple addressing didn't work, Gracie decided to deal with things right there and then. Maybe it wasn’t the best approach, but fellow working professionals who understand the pain related to it. @thefinnmckenty wrote, “Playing full volume audio in public should be grounds for electrocution.” @30SecondYou added, “I’m usually against passive-aggressive escalation but in these instances it’s needed. These people just ignore the social contract and act selfishly, so f**k ‘em.”
