The woman had driven home, to an apartment complex when she realized a car had been following her.
A woman was horrified after a man followed her for whole five miles just to tell her she looked pretty. While he might have assumed she'd feel wonderful to hear a compliment, nothing could be farther from the truth. She feared for her life because a man wanted to say she looked pretty. She was stunned that men have the audacity to do such things and think it's normal. The woman, who goes by @buzzcutkenny (Kenny) on TikTok, shared the story in a video on the platform. She captioned the video: "I hate males WHY WOULD THIS EVER BE OK." The video has been viewed more than 360k times and garnered over 95k likes.
She narrated the ordeal to her followers, reported Comicsands. Kenny didn't realize she was being followed until she pulled into her home and noticed another car pulled right behind her. She was wary but calm of the car and the driver, a man who remained in his car. The stranger's car had wedged itself in such a way that it had blocked the exit for her. She was cornered and was worried for her safety. The man signaled her to down her car window. After hesitating, she rolled down the window to talk to him. He asked her if she lived here and the alarm bells in her head immediately went off. She was scared out of her wits but said no, adding that she was visiting a friend to protect herself. He then dropped all pretense and told her that he had followed her car for five miles after seeing her at a traffic light. He told her he had followed her to tell her that she was pretty. Thankfully the encounter ended there. After narrating the ordeal, an exasperated Kenny asks, "In what f**king world is that appropriate?"
While it was obvious to the majority that the man was being incredibly creepy and Kenny was justified in freaking out, some just couldn't see her side and said she should be more appreciative of someone wanting to tell her she was pretty. "Like you should be grateful he thinks you're pretty," wrote one user. Others rained in to support Kenny, with one writing, "What the hell is wrong with you?" Another spelled it out for them. "He followed her and then asked her if she lived there. He had ulterior motives." Another pointed out that men often feel entitled to doing creepy stuff as the man had done because "male privilege makes them think this is acceptable. They don't think twice because they can't relate to fearing for their safety."
Kenny herself called out the men supporting the creepy man, in a follow-up video. "Sounds like you might be a creeper yourself. Do you think stalking is ok? You would probably do this to a woman. You're the type of man who'd be unwilling to listen to women when they tell you that they are scared, It's not giving a good look for you, sorry." she said.
