'She even impressed the other women. I could listen to her talk all day'

A man appearing on a lighthearted dating show, PoP It Frère (@popitfrere), was rejected by every other woman except for one, who surprised everyone with a heartfelt reason. Well, the show requires participants to pop the balloons based on quick impressions if they did not approve of a potential partner. So, when this man arrived, all other women immediately burst their balloons, showing disapproval, but Soraya waited until he finished speaking, and her reason is enough to make you smile. The video has received 8.5 million views on TikTok.

When asked why she still had her balloon unpopped, Soraya said she wanted to listen to the man and then decide whether she really liked him or not. She confessed he wasn't her type, but she did not wish to dismiss him without getting to know him. "It's not about just looking at you and being like, 'No,' okay? Because I have experienced people who evolve... you grow into things... and that's a good thing," Soraya said, explaining why she decided to give a chance to the man while others didn't. She further shared why she doesn't easily fall for looks.

"I mean, people change their hair all the time. You change your clothes every day... so, I'm trying," Soraya added. When the show host asked the man if the woman was his type, he agreed, confessing that he loved her mindset. Moving on, the man inquired what she would like to do on a first date, and Soraya immediately replied, saying she's open to whatever the man plans because she would want to study him first. "I won't present the preconceived notion of what I want to do because he might show me something new, and I just limited myself... and I never gave him a chance to step me into his world," she added, leaving everyone, including other women participants, impressed.

A YouGov study across 20 different countries found that today, most people prefer personality over looks in potential romantic partners. Notably, while all other countries, including the USA, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, and Singapore, among others, chose personality over looks, only Vietnamese men chose the opposite.
Now, among American women, while 38% confessed to favoring personality in a romantic partner, 10% preferred good looks, 13% cited sense of humor, 20% mentioned intelligence, and only 3% noted the money factor. It means even more than financial security and looks; women are actively choosing personality. Among the 20 countries that were surveyed, none had more than 21% of women who rated good looks over other things.

Meanwhile, overwhelmed by the woman's response, @prettybrownbrown9494 commented, "She's a logical thinker, very intelligent, and optimistic. I love that." Similarly, @hotshotnat wrote, "She even impressed the other women. I could listen to her talk all day. This is the proper way to be a submissive partner to the correct man leading you."
