Woman has a beautiful realization after watching her Dad play with her kids at the beach
She says that her dad always made fantastical adventures for them as kids and she is only now able to recognise his efforts.

We often don't realize when our happiest days of childhood pass away and we become adults living off of those memories. We often fail to acknowledge that our parents did their absolute best to create precious memories with us and we should give them all the credit. A woman is sharing her most beautiful memory from her childhood and it triggered several people to recount their own memories. Reddit user u/Mint_Perspective posted a video with the caption, "When you get older and realize that a magical childhood is the result of your parent’s effort."
The 59-second video shows her on the beach where she explains that her dad would take them seashell hunting while growing up. They used to have immense fun and her father revealed his secret when she was 32 years old. In order to allow his children to have fun. he went to the souvenir shop and purchased a bag full of seashells before every trip. He planted them across the beach and asked his kids to search for them. He never told his children his little secret and now he does the same with his grandkids. The children think they are discovering the seashells themselves and her father enjoyed seeing them happy.
She added in the video, "He always made adventures fantastical, and I'm still learning the extent of it." The video shows her father joyously doing seashell hunting with his grandchildren and making memories that would last a lifetime. They look extremely happy as they show their seashells to the camera, the secret of which they'll come to know when they are older.
Several Reddit users applauded this father for his efforts and even shared their own precious childhood memories with their parents. A Reddit user shared, "My dad is an accountant so he is good with numbers. So my younger cousins would always ask him extremely hard math questions and see if he knew the answers, like 27*299." Their dad used to give a random answer and the children would be extremely impressed thinking it was correct.
Another Reddit user shared, "When I went on a road trip with my family, my dad would (safely) pump the breaks and say “did ya feel that? That’s the state line” every time we entered a new state in the US." When they grew up and started driving they realized that the state borders did not really have bumps and their father was just having fun.
A parent even stepped in to share how he tried to make the world fun for his daughter. They wrote, "I convinced my daughter that the turn signals just turned on automatically because they knew which way the car was going to turn. Of course, I was secretly turning them on slyly outside of her noticing." However, things took a funny turn when decades later their daughter took driving lessons and argued with the instructors that she doesn't need to turn the signals on.
Parents often make silent sacrifices and efforts to make their children's lives easier and happier. They deserve recognition and gratitude for the same.
